Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was as described and provided me with a fairly comfortable and secure place to stay for a couple of nights, which was what I wanted.

GermanyMy shower head was broken, there was some dirt under the bed even after I required the room to be cleaned, the WiFi did not work really well, the instructions on how to access the hotel were in German (I know it is on me - I should know German! But for some foreigners who are in Germany for the first time this could be an issue).
The owner was available to my calls and SMS, the room was quiet, there was space in the room for everything, I could pull the blinds and regulate the light quite well, the location is quite good also.

There is nothing to like about this so called “hotel”. It looks like army barracks fro outside as after we booked and payed for 3 rooms (around 22.38 ) and asking for check in 22.00 to 23.00 nobody was there to let us in . We stood the night in the cold outside with children talking with an answering machine 6 adults and 3 children. No one to talk. While we were waiting another family was taking trips around the building as they were left outside also. No answer from booking.com also, not sure if we will get the money back as it was non refundable. Is just a nightmare. I would advise to stay away. Is just pure evil.

GermanyHere I can write a lot more than 3 sentences. The prices are for 3 star hotel, but the bed sheets and towels were dirty, cold in the room. The bathroom was dirty, but I couldn't use it anyways because there wasn't any type of heating in the bathroom. Also the bathroom floor were stainted.
Absolutely nothing, I do not recomend.

Czech RepublicWhen the room is supposed to have a new guest, it must be cleaned and ready, that was not my case and I had to wait till cleaning.
The location was in the center and close to all facilities. The best thing was check in. The pin code and the room number were sent to us by sms and no special check in was not required that was good for us as we arrived in early morning. Similarly no special check out was needed that made our stay super easy. The cleaning was upon the request and very effective.

GermanyThe hotel offered no breakfast and there was no internet. There was no hotel staff present on location, not a single person! A manager (or owner, I am not sure) was available on the phone but he told me he was physically in Austria and would not come to attend to any problems that occurred during my stay. One major problem occurred at the very end of my stay. The hotel parking lot entrance bar was open when I drove in, but shut when I had to drive out. Calling the manager/owner was useless because he was away. He did absolutely nothing to help me drive out except recommending that I should stop a random car on the road and somehow persuade its driver to start entering the parking lot so that the bar would open again, during which time I could quickly drive out. This helped, but why the hell should I have had to put up with all this inconvenience and waste of my time?!! The manager/owner sounded unfriendly, unhelpful and unprofessional. He took my money alright, but was not there to deliver the service in full. He never apologised for inconveniencing me, citing instead staff shortage for which he blamed German politicians and the general state of disrepair in Germany as he saw it. I strongly recommend booking.com to de-list this hotel and fine it if possible.
The location was convenient for the purposes of my trip. I did not like anything else, and there were things I intensely disliked.

GermanyHad problem with the automatic door, which did not work properly and I cannot leave for two hours. Nobody was available for help, nobody replied to the phone and nobody turned up at the reception although they advertise themselves available from 7 in the morning. In this hotel, if you are in trouble, you are on your own - at least on Sundays.

United KingdomThe hotel walls were so thin that I could hear phone alarms and people yawning in the next room at 5 in the morning. The pillow on the bed was so thin I felt I slept on an empty pillowcase. The shower knob was very difficult to turn on and needed even more strength to turn off, making it difficult to even take a shower. The room had no curtains, only blinds on the outside that didn't cover the windows completely, so anyone from the parking lot could see inside the room. As far as safety features are concerned, the smoke alarm was sitting on the windowsill with the battery half-out of it. There was no staff at reception during any of the time I was there, and that was problematic for a number of reasons. The pin code needed to enter the building wasn't the one I was emailed in the booking confirmation, so I had to call the hotel number to get the right one. The man who answered was very curt and seemed annoyed that I had trouble entering the building. The wifi password wasn't displayed anywhere, so instead of calling the hotel number and dealing with that curt man again, I didn't have access to the Internet while I stayed there. Also, I ran out of toilet paper, and there was no one at the reception who could ask to bring me more. The room seemed relatively clean, but there were hairs on the bed and in the bathroom. All in all, an unpleasant stay.
The hotel was relatively close to the Central Station and the City Center.

United StatesThe hotel was totally un-staffed during my three-day stay. I went in and out of the building typing a passcode on a keypad. I picked up and returned my room key at the front desk without any staff present. It was impossible for me to communicate with anyone at the hotel before or during my stay. I was lucky to have a friend who lives in Regensburg who could phone the hotel reception number. I never received any written communication from the staff, despite my frequent messages, sent using both the Booking.com app and by email. The person who spoke with my German friend on the phone said they could not speak English, despite English being included as a language spoken in the list of hotel amenities.
