Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaMy North American entitlement always wants two pillows!
Fabulous breakfast with lots of choices. While the rooms didn't have any kitchenette, good coffee and tea were always available any time of day or night. In the afternoons, there were cakes and fresh fruit provided in the comfortable lobby. The location was excellent...steps from the train station and an easy walk to shops, cafes, galleries and museums.

United KingdomThere was no phone in the room in case we needed to contact reception, we were on the 4th floor. There was no room info in the room eg WiFi password, local attractions, breakfast info. The room/ hotel is a little dated. We felt our room was quite small for a family room, like we were put in the top most corner of the roof! There were no ‘extras’ like toiletries, tissues etc. Furniture was sparse. The worst thing was that the toilet cistern kept making a noise throughout the night which affected us getting a good night’s sleep.
Great location. Beautiful breakfast and breakfast room. Bed linen and towels were clean. The room was warm.

BelgiumThe bathroom was a bit outdated and the carpet of the stairs gives me a feeling of dirt. But it didn’t make us enjoy the stay any less.
Breakfast was fantastic and the style of the room was surprising and I wish I had a commode like the one that we had in the room. All of the members of staff that we spoke with were very nice and friendly.

DenmarkWe arrived at two. They did not bother to check if our room was ready. They just did not check anybody in until three which resulted in queuing and waiting around three. Other hotels usually check if the room has been cleaned when we arrive before check-in time and check us in if it has.
Nice and clean. Near midtown.

DenmarkThe interior looks a bit dated, but nothing major.
The location was right in the center of Kolding. The price was affordable and the room rate included a buffet breakfast which was good.

GermanyAs other reviews have stated before, the place is a bit dated. Our friends stayed at the more modern hotel opposite for the same price.
Great location and very friendly staff. I was a bit worried about the stay given some of the reviews but it was all fine.

SwedenThere is a reason they don't show any pictures of this room's bathroom. It's an obsolete linoleum nightmare from the... 1970s? Also, the shower is small and the shower curtain will inevitably stick to you while you try to take a shower. Breakfast was good but with one irritating caveat: when they blend in THAT much extra water in the orange juice, it really shows how they are trying to cut costs at the expense of quality. It wasn't juice, and it was pretty disgusting, to be frank. Finally, room was chilly. True, there was a cold spell when we were there, but nothing extreme.
Well, we stayed in a so-called family room. It was spacious and OK overall, but see below... Good location right next to train station.

GermanyThe building structure is quite old which makes the wall not noise proof. The elevator is classic, small and shaky.
The location cannot be more perfect. A few steps away from the Kolding station makes checking in at night from the long train trip very comfortable. The room is very spacious.

NetherlandsVery busy and noisy street, wooden floors which make a lot of noise, thin curtains so the light pours in day and night. Bathroom floor including shower was even so water flowed everywhere.

DenmarkThe place probably has been refurbished old building, some parts creaking as you walk. Some of the wallpapers are not well maintained, some light bulbs not working, the TV was not working but we did not really care about that so much. The front door to the lobby can be improved, it is not inviting and no ramp for wheelchair or stroller. It says that 3yo are free in booking.com but hotel told us that it is actually wrong information, 3yo ans above are counted as adults due to fire safety regulations.l or something.
Great location, the hotel has a vintage ambience if that is to your liking, it has play area for kids with bouncy castle, snacks in the afternoon and all day coffee and tea. We booked a triple room but seemed upgraded to a 4-pax bedroom, so that was nice. The bathroom was big and spacious. There are ramps inside the hotel to cater for strollers or wheelchairs. The lobby area is okay with several seating options. Price is cheaper than the other hotels in the area.
