Very poor curtains which are too short and let in light in summer. Room was a bit cramped .A double bed rather than two single placed together would have given more space, and two easy chairs rather than a big sofa. Room and bathroom could do with updating. Staff lovely but no knowledge on the bus system, times and routes. Were told we would need a taxi to airport which is expensive , but infact there is a perfectly good service from Svaneke via Nexo on a Sunday morning.

Excellent breakfast, great location , nice friendly staff, lovely location near the harbour and lovely garden out the front with seating for fine weather.

Staying in Svanneke is quite expensive, maybe not exactly value for money

Excellent breakfast, in fact that was the highlight of our stay. The location is very good, close to the harbor, very nice outside area overlooking the harbor. The reception staff was friendly and professional

The otherwise helpful and competent receptionist forgot to tell us that in order to avail ourselves of the free hotel parking we had to register on an standing screen in the hotel lobbey. The hotel parking behind the building was clearly marked, and we parked there without incident for 3 nights early in the week. On the morning of Friday, we found a parking ticket on our windscreen, charging us a little more than $100. The reason given: failure to list the car as belonging to a hotel guest. The young receptionist, who had forgotten to tell us about this frequirement called up the parking agency and pleaded our case, but was unsuccessful. At that moment the hotel ought to have stepped in and offered to pay the fine, since it was due to a mistake on the part of their employee.

The location is charming, as are the rooms in the higher price category. The staff is young and enthusiastic, many from other countries. They are eager to helpful. Parking is easy - if you know what you are doing.

Bathroom was quite outdated. last year we had a wonderful bathroom and had believed all rooms were like that. Last year we also had acces to green area behind the hotel, and the room was more quiet. This year there was loud music practice from the building across. Windows were nor easy to open for a short person.

Best brakfast ever. Restaurant was really top service for dinner and wine selection was good for the food. Beds were good, and the refrigerator was nice to have for us.

Everything. Wonderful staff, calm place, stunning view, wonderful garden, great breakfast, and the bed was very, very comfortable. Nice schampoo in the shower, felt luxurious.

Our first evening we wanted to sit outside for a glass of wine. After 45 min and no sight of anyone to order at, I approached the restaurant with the intention to order two glasses of wine for outside. Before I could at all explain what our wishes were, a man (apparently the head of the restaurant) confronted me with the exact words: “we are fully booked” in an aggitated voice. I got so surprised that I only could stutter that all we wanted was a glass of wine outside, and that we were hotel guests. The answer I got was: “We don’t serve outside” and he walked away. We went down to the harbour and got a great meal with wine and a smile :). Some evenings later we had booked a table and got a great service and a lot of friendly smiles from a young woman with long dark hair, forgot her name. Its was our wedding day 27/6.
