To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomVery very thin walls. You could hear people sneezing and coughing in the next rooms. You can hear toilets flushing and the shower on. Also for this standard of the Marriott hotel chain,I expect more than a paper cup for my morning coffee. Nespresso coffee machine with pods but no tea bags… poor show really. The whole hotel needs sound proofing. Poor value for money

Location - 1 minute from Cuzco metro station. Interior design - both contemporary and elegant - absolutely adorable lobby! Chilled lemonade in the lobby in summer hot Madrid is a good idea, and DIY lavender sachet for better sleep is a nice feature. Spacious twin room with a coffee machine and a perfectly working aircon. Comfy beds and pillows. We are greatful to the porter who helped us with our luggage and showed the room. He spoke fluent English and was really hospitable. He added a lot to the exellent impression we got from the hotel. Unfortunately I have forgotten his name but think the management can figure out. Cleanliness.

TurkeyActually the hotel experience was good. But there is a slight line between good and perfect customer experience. We had 2 family rooms. We did not like one of them and wanted to change it with next to other room. As the rooms rate was different they want to charge extra money. That is fair. But if you want to go beyond good and want to be perfect customer experience that was an opportunity to do that without extra charge. We had already paying quite amoubt of money. So we stayed in a room for 6 days which we did not like much. Thank you for the hospitality for the good (not perfect) experience.
