The soundproof quality was so poor. the family next door had 2 small kids and a dog it was impossible to have a peaceful quiet time at night.

Pillows were hot dog-shaped (?). Too big to go under your neck. Too narrow to go under your head. Bring your own, as we did!! Skip the very "continental" breakfast & get something real in town!

This is not the youth hostel "of your youth." It is basically a relaxed hotel! Rooms are clean. Floors are heated (nice!). Community terrace has a LOVELY view! We collapsed into the comfy beds and slept great. We'll stay here again!

The shower: mold and with a pushbutton. The place was worn down (paint coming off) but also not clean. Under the couch/bed a lot of dust. Also in the toilet clearly not vacuumed well.

We got an upgrade to a studio. The view on the city is spectacular from the terrace of the hostal, at sunset but at any time of day. We walked down and up again to visit. Good directions in advance from the hostal to drive, as waze would have sent us differently. Easy parking.

Small rooms, very basic, more spartan. Bit pricey because you have to pay extra for facilities like towels.

Only downside was that the rooms do not include towels and toiletries in the price which would have been great.

A bit of a steep trek (but not too far) from Gros and San Sebastian. The ladies at the reception were very helpful and friendly. There was a common kitchen available and the room itself was self-sufficient and good. The view from the accommodation was great.

Some locals walk dangerous large dogs without a leash in the woods, so small dog owners should be careful.

The location is a bit difficult to get to (takes some 20 minutes to the centre of S Sebastian with a car) and there are a lot of curves to get to the place. Not great if you want to go to the city more than 1 or 2 times per day and come back to the hotel to eat, change, shower...

Nice cozy rooms with warm shower and free parking. The vibe is a bit "hostel-y". The managers are very nice and the location is offering very nice views of San Sebastian. It is also quite a bit colder than in the city.

Be aware of the 20 min walk up the hill if you are not able to get a shuttle / taxi, however with the distance from the city comes a great view! This wasn’t an issue to our group as we were expecting this.

The views from the room and common areas were great, good to have access to parking, staff were very helpful with information and allowing us to use the kitchen facilities as it was outside of the kitchen operating season.

Super helpful team - gave public transport directions, help to use their kitchen, and provided maps, language support, advice on walks etc. Location excellent with superb views across the city but peaceful green surroundings.

Magnificent view from the room! Our room (nro 6) had the best view from its window and the door gives straight outside where you can spend the evening sitting outside. Room was very clean and met the standards.

The room was not the cleanest it could have been. The floors looked like they needed to be swept and there was dried food on the blanket for the bed.

The facility had a beautiful view of San Sebastian, also had a nice but long trail leading down the mountain.
