The bed was perhaps a bit too soft for us to be really comfy...but to be honest the rest made up for that!

The location...absolutely perfect for a visit to the Alhambra. You can break up your excursion around the beautiful palaces by popping back to the hotel for a drink and a rest, or even a meal, before heading out to see more of what the Alhambra has to offer. It was wonderful to watch the sunset from the grounds and look at the fabulous Sierra Nevada mountains. It's an old building, very beautiful, but the bathroom was quite modern. The staff are really helpful and friendly. There was a kettle in our room...great for us English who love our tea! You pay extra for breakfast, and there is a fairly good selection to choose from. Yummy eggs and ham! We had one meal there (they stop hot food in the late afternoon) and that was delicious. We would definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately there is no restaurant nearby for dinnertime (which adds to the quietness of the place for sure), so you have to descend into town in the evening. After which climbing back up can be a challenge. Or take a taxi of course!

Superb location inside the Alhambra and staff was attentive and forthcoming. A hotel with a lot of character and historical atmosphere, therefore one should not expect the most modern amenities and standards. Rustic and highly recommended for an authentic experience.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My son & I were given a choice of rooms with twin beds. The paneled common areas near the reception desk had an antique charm. The small courtyard was a super location for our lunch before we walked a short distance to tour the Alhambra.

The location of the hotel was absolutely amazing. It was on the outskirts of the Alhambra. Each day was new and exciting and we loved being able to walk into town, great exercise. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Their lunches have a great deal of choice with generous helpings, well priced and delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

A perfect location for visiting Alhambra, night and day. Charming small hotel with personable staff, that is inside the restricted grounds. My single room with balcony was very comfortable. Breakfast is served in an interior patio of eclectic design.

You have to drop your bags off and then park 1/2 mile away in the Alhambra visitor lot. Also, the young man they had working the breakfast on our second day was a terrible server.

The location within the Alhambra is excellent (other than the lack of parking) and most of the staff were helpful and efficient, especially Angelo. The courtyard area is very pleasant. WiFi access was great.

It took a bit to find the property. Follow the small signs. Had to park away from the hotel.

This hotel is on the top of the hill with the alcazar. Premium location. Convenient walking paths to old town/great views. It is like staying in a historical inn with new amenities. We worked our trip around staying here as our friends visited the prior year and recommended highly. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Excellent charming hotel in a brilliant location for the Alhambra tour. Receptionist; Fernando, was fantastic. So helpful, knowledgeable and experienced. Breakfast was pleasant, the wonderful waiter - didn't catch his name - was delightful; very caring and thoughtful. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

The restaurant wasn't open, although we were able to get drinks. And the air con didn't operate all of the time which was frustrating and there was no one to on the premises to talk to about this when we were sweltering in our room.

We were in a double room - terrible bed, really uncomfortable, bed definitely needs replacing.

Nice being in the Alhambra for easy access, but that said I hadn't realised there are many other hotels just down the road like the Aurea Washington Irving that are very close (and actually closer to meeting point for tours). Why would I stay here? - main reason probably proximity to the Hotel Parador next door for an evening meal (the Parador de Granada has a fabulous terrace, do book!). Hotel America the good bits - friendly staff, fine but very basic breakfast & lunch options (think ham, cheese, bread), aircon works well, it is a quaint hotel.

The location was excellent. Being inside the Alhamabra was wonderful. The staff were incredible. I would definitely recommend this for anyone visiting Granada and Alhambra.
