Was tight for 4 people, especially if ypu wanted to eat in the apartment since there was no proper table for it. In February it was very cold inside so we heated with a/c but it didn't help much. Bad air ventilation.

Our apartment was changed at the last minute (due to a leak) so I'm not sure how good the original one was, but the one we stayed in was OK, but did not look as good as the pictures I'd seen. Although it was fairly clean, there were a lot of dusty bits and it felt a bit unloved. The aircon dripped and the hairdryer didn't work and there was no kettle (not good for a tea drinking Brit!!). The mezzanine level was overly warm at night and the plastic mattress cover did not help! We moved a bed down to the living area for the second night and had a much better night's sleep. All the communication was via WhatsApp. Questions were answered but not always helpful, e.g. the new low emissions zone made driving into Madrid a nightmare, but the hosts were unable to offer any advice on this except to tell me to speak to the carparks! Payment was via an app, which was difficult as the link would not work.

Good location in spite of all the noisy renovations on Puerto del Sol, but this was reflected in the low price of the accommodation for such a central area. There was a leak reported in our apartment before we arrived and the hosts were able to offer us an alternative.

This was the oddest way I got into a property booked on booking so far. The entire check in and out process is remote. They put you in a WhatsApp group with about 15 admin staff and you get all instructions there. I also got weird scam calls after that from another Spanish number that I luckily disregarded. You literally have to pay before you see the room or even get close to it. I would have cancelled the whole stay but fortunately somebody picked up when I called the property’s phone number from booking.Com and explained the process. We wanted to make them a favour by paying cash but it was complicated, we had to put the cash in an envelope and in a safe box somewhere and send them a video with that before getting the door code. My kids said I was crazy :)). From the pictures I had the impression that there was a separate bedroom but that’s not the case. The bathroom door was broken and could not be closed completely. We asked for toilet paper two days in a row and nobody showed up at the hours we indicated as being the room.

The location is excellent, you can basically walk almost anywhere. I liked the style of the building. The place was very clean.

Communication is well-planned and 24/7, but rather too complicated.

The location is perfect! Although it is not big, there is still enough space for 4 or 5 persons. Also I like tutorial videos as a good help.

The facilities could be better maintained but the staff was really helpful.

The location was superb, we slept in the very center of Madrid at Puerta del Sol, the metro station is just in front of the apartment. Very quiet place as the apartment was looking to the interior square. We travelled with two kids. The check in was virtual, there wasn't anybody to receive us, but we didn't had any problems with it. And if you have any problems you can communicate easily by WhatsApp with the staff.

The kitchen was lacking some basic ingredients like salt/pepper if you decide to cook,you have to buy everything.The apartment had an air con system,but it felt slightly cold in there.

The location was great,directly on the mail square with lots of shops around and 1 minute from a public transport.The area was obviously a bit noisy,which was expected but the beds were very comfortable and big enough.Bathroom was provided with shampoo and hair dryer which was nice.

There were a couple of issues with the water, there was a leak in the kitchen and we constantly had the apartment filled with the smell of smoke from other apartments.

The deposit demanded was 200€ and we didn't receive the refund until after 8 days. We tried to contact the property requesting a refund but we received no answer until we contacted Booking's customer service. We had to wait for over an hour to get the Keys.

It is right above the square so there is quite a lot of noise. We expected that and it was okay for three nights but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone wanting to get some serious sleep. We were quite disappointed the wifi wasn't working.

The staff was helpful. They told us everything step by step and were available at all times.
