Second time staying there. Both times have gotten the smallest room there and not very comfortable. Might consider different hotel next time.

Although our room 101 was at the back of the hotel so we did not hear any traffic noise, the hotel is soo badly sound proofed! We could hear the room above us moving around, showering etc alongside doors banging shut. This really let our stay down as we were awoken at several points, and I can only imagine what this would be like in peak season (we stayed in feb so assuming a lower occupancy rate). As we stayed in feb the outside temp wasn't too warm, however we found our room to be too hot and struggled to figure out the air con we phoned reception who informed us the whole hotel was set to heat mode and was unable to be changed. We were offered a fan which was appreciated, however it seems strange to set the whole hotel to heat when people will be travelling from all different places so may not want the room heated.

The hotel was very well located within easy walk to many locations with subway lines to many of the main sightseeing attractions. Our room was well decorated and spacious, we received a complimentary upgrade which was very well received.

+ Location is great, close to almost everything (central, metro, restaurants, stores, etc.) + The hospitality: We were travelling with our kid and got an upgrade to Superior Double Room with terrace towards the Pool side. According the hotel, this is to give our kid more space during our stay. It is extremely appreciated! Thank you very much! + Room was very good, nothing to complain about. We got a surprised upgrade with terrace. Even though we did not use it that much (due to travel time during Feb.) but would imagine it would be of a great fun during summer time. + Breakfast is very good, both in terms of variety and quality.

I picked the hotel because the Booking add showed that an upgraded room with a balcony was available. When I got to the hotel, I was told my upgraded room included a sofa bed, but the balcony room was not available till the next night. My wife, smoker, was livid. They did trade the room the next night. Upon leaving, I asked the front desk to call a cab. A cab showed up and as we were putting our luggage in the trunk, an employee ran outside saying we had the wrong cab. There cab showed up and an argument with shoving occurred. We changed cabs and while we rode to the airport, I noticed the meter wasn't turned on. Upon arrival at the airport I was charged 20 euros more than I paid for the last 3 rides back and forth from the airport. I hate being scammed.

There was not much that we did not like a couple of suggestions is to promote the meeting room more prominently especially during a convention like Fiera also would suggest a small standing heater in the pool area for those of us that come from warm clients

Breakfast is too expensive and did not have a lot of choices for me. Room service is not consistent except leaving exactly two small packs of sugar per day for two people in the room despite all the requests. What I really did not like is that there was third bed in the room instead of cute day bed that I was looking forward to using while working. Third bed took a lot of space and made whole room a lot smaller. Also, there is not a lot of storage space for clothes, and only few hangers.

A few of the tourist spots ( Park Guell & Sagrada Familia )fully booked when we arrived, didn't know that we had to pre-book to confirm entry. Walked all the way up fairly steep hill to Park Guell , only to find park was fully booked. This was a common problem with lots of visitors.

The pool was quite small but it didnt deter us from using it. Our room was very small, but again we didnt stay in it only to sleep! The bar didnt open until 5pm, the only drinks available in the day and around the pool were by ordering from reception.

Hotel was modern and very clean. Reception staff were very polite and friendly. The location is great, close to the main shopping areas.

The breakfast needs more variety

The breakfast was Ok, not much variety. The location of the hotel was perfect, all the main attractions were walking distance from the hotel such as Ramblas street, Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Gothic Quarter, Segrada Familia, La Boqueria, and many more! The rooms are clean but not very spacious, it was acceptable for me since I didnt stay much in the room anyway.

I was very happy at this hotel and would gladly return.

My first room, a basic double room, was very small, had an internal window and was dark with only 2 sources of poor artificial light. There was also a smell of cigarette. However, on mentioning these difficulties I got upgraded to a bright room with a small terrace plenty of artificial light and a sitting area with desk. The shower was excellent. I didn’t have any breakfast or meals so cannot comment. However, the eating and drinks areas looked pleasant.
