To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

South AfricaThe room was a bit small and there was no space to lay an open suitcase, but other than that perfectly comfortable.
The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance of many attractions. The hotel is aesthetically pleasing and had a wonderful smell. Beds were comfortable. The receptionist picked up that it was my birthday on my passport and later sent up champagne and chocolates to my room. Loved the care and attention to detail. Staff were friendly and eager to assist. Would recommend this hotel.

Hong KongThe WiFi was a bit weak in my room. The hotel location is about 8-10mins walk away from metro and the Diagonal- it’s okay for some people but maybe a concern to others.
The facility is overall clean and spacious. Love that balcony in my room. Safe neighbourhood. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Many good restaurants within a 5 mins walk.

This hotel is in a lovely location and near transport to centre. The breakfast was excellent and had great choices, the staff were excellent and helpful. Expecially Tomas, who facilitated a change of room. He had a lovely touch of the Irish wit!

Czech RepublicCons : breakfast costs £15, which is not competitive vs what you can get in such a vibrant neighbourhood like L'Eixample.
Straight 10/10. Had a splendid room during a one-week stay but what made the hotel stand out was the CUSTOMER SERVICE. Upon arrival, I mentioned my sleep deprivation and they had booked us into a secluded corner where I had the best sleep quality ever. All our other reception calls were handled by staff with a smile. Let me particularly highlight the hospitality of 2 gentlemen having had a shift on 06/01 am (one at the reception and the other handling our luggage - forgot to mark down their names, verry sorry). The hotel is perfectly located for exploring BCN and served as a safe haven for us when weather turned grim. Hotel has good heating - hardly any Airbnb will give you that, mind this if travelling in winter).
