Wonderful hostal in an old townhouse

The hostal is housed in a very old townhouse and is very quaint and full if corners, niches and courtyards. The owners have decorated it very quaintly with art and antiques. The only surprising feature is the elevator. The room was cute and had a large window to a backyard. Therefore, it was very quiet at night. Both bathroom and bedroom were sparkling clean. A hairdryer and a kettle with complimentary tea/coffee were provided. The host was very welcoming and spoke fluent French. I absolutely loved staying in this old house with lits of atmosphere.

The property is located inside the city centre, so you’re very close to the main attractions of Sevilla. At the same time, it’s in a hidden street where you can sleep well in silence. The staff was super welcoming and available. The structure looks nice and old-style. The rooms are small but comfortable and with a private bathroom. The hall of the structure is cold because it’s outdoor, but you have the possibility to use heated air inside your room (there’s air conditioning system).

It was cold and damp when I arrived, but I checked in very early and perhaps they usually turn on the heat for guests in winter when they know yo expect them.

Quaint historical building with inner courtyard and interesting furnishings. Jose Antonio was very helpful on check in and responded quickly if I needed anything. Loved being in a very quiet area within east walk of restaurants and attractions.

Walls are thin; I’ve heard people burping in the room next to mine; not really glamorous. I was next to a room with dogs in it and they kept barking over and over again, it was quite annoying. The place is really dark because of its architecture so you need a light to find your room after 5pm otherwise the stairs can be dangerous

The location is perfect The decoration is really cute and the place has cute areas Bed was comfy

The bathroom facilities are a bit outdated. You couldn't close the bathroom door properly and after taking a shower the whole room was flooded. The towels smelled kind of strange. Maybe because of the fabric softener? Also keep in mind, that if you come by car, you'll need some time to find a decent parking spot and you likely have to pay for it. But that's to be expected in the historic city center.

The place is lovely decorated with a really nice atmosphere and a wonderful host. Close to the city center as well. Bars, restaurants and cafés are nearby.

There is misinformation about breakfast being provided. The shower heads need replacing. The rooms are very warm and could do with ceiling or standing fans to improve airflow.

Jose is extremely welcoming and didn't let the language barrier affect communication, using Google translate to give us a full explanation of the property. The property is in an ideal location, 20 mins from the airport (by taxi), the main attractions and train station (by foot). The property has a traditional rustic charm. Late check-in was available.

The shower was hand held, not fixed, and was very slow to drain, so we had to wait a bit between showers. A bit hard to find the hostel at first, but we soon got used to walking back and forth.

Host was very welcoming. Very large bed in our room( no.1) though it didn't leave much room. Quiet area, but close to livelier ones with bars and cafes. Bread and cake shop opposite. We liked the traditional feel to the building and decor. Easy level walking to main tourist sites.Wi-fi good. Lounge available.

Our stay was very well organised with the gentle, kind host explaining very clearly (through translator app) about the door keys and checkout procedure. He lives there. We had everything we needed, including a kettle, towels and liquid soap. Little mini-mart round the corner. I came to Spain to stay in old properties, not fancy modern ones, so: perfect!! Location good for overnight stop. In the morning, we walked 10 mins to La Buhaira Av (Eduardo Dato) and caught EA bus to airport there.

Charming hostal, perfect for a 1 night stay

It would be useful to signpost the doorbell - when we arrived the gate was locked and it wasn't immediately clear how to get anyone's attention. The shower facilities also would've been improved with toiletries - this didn't bother us as we were only staying one night, but might've been an issue if we were staying longer.

We only stayed one night before travelling back home so the hostal suited our needs perfectly (we were looking for a place that was cheap and well-located). I loved the quaintness and decoration of the common spaces and room - considering the price, real care and attention has been put into making the hostal feel homely. Jose Antonio was responsive by Whatsapp, and when we arrived at the property, great care was taken to explain how we open the various doors and gates and navigate the hostal. We communicated in broken Spanish - I heard the host offer to speak French to another group and use Google translate, so the check-in experience is personable and warm!

The room equipment could be improved: bed was really small and not very comfy, shower was not convenient because of the low water pressure, the short curtain and the leakage resulting each time we wanted to shower, house l'atout made the spaces vert noisy, Cleaning was also a bit random (sometimes WE had coffee or towels, sometimes not) and looking closer the corners we're really dusty, no Big deal but a deep cleaning could help once in a while.

The hotel tenant is really nice, the location is awesome, the hostel style IS very charming

The room hasn’t been clean properly. I found some “medication leftover” in the bathroom on the shelf beside the sink. The tray for the breakfast was a bit dirty and dusty and the spoon that I used every day has been changed only once (I’m wondering if the cups have been changed at this point).
