To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

United KingdomAs mentioned by other guests, the road/track up to the house is steep and bumpy (especially at the very end) - that is definitely not for the feint hearted. We managed to get up in a Fiat 500, but it was scary. The images in the property description give the impression of very light and airy rooms, but in reality it's quite dark inside (to be expected from a traditional house, I guess). The furniture in the lounge is also different from the photos in the description and quite dated. There is no washing machine, even though it says so in the property description. We stayed as a couple, so had no privacy issue re. the 2nd bedroom, but as stated, bedroom 1 & 2 are one large space with a partial dividing wall.
Stunning location with beautiful views and direct access to pine forest hiking tracks. Lovely traditional house with nice courtyard garden. We also really appreciated the outdoor kitchen and BBQ.

NetherlandsAs most people mentioned the road to the house is extremely narrow and steep. Not for the feint of heart but we managed ok with our VW bug. One of the lounge chairs was broken and not useable.
Lovely home and location. Beautiful view of the water and Icod. So peaceful being surrounded by nature and very private. The bedrooms can get really dark at night and it’s quiet so you’ll sleep like a baby. The kitchen had most dishes and utensils that you’d need and some basic condiments. The indoor fireplace and outdoor BBQ were fantastic. We recommend bringing your own firewood before you head up so you’ll have enough.

GermanyThe beds are narrow and the two sleeping rooms are not fully separated (walls are just two meter high and are not up to the ceiling). As we were alone it was no issue but with two couples it would have been terrible. The house is cold. In the summer I would rate it higher but as it is offered during winter/spring I need to reduce the rating. The eletronic heater are not good enough but especially in the bathroom there is first no heater but also no glass in the window! So inside it's as cold as outside or even cooler given the thick walls. And as it is in the mountains and not the north side it is even colder than down at the coast. I regret the downgrade as the house and the location is otherwise great but this needs to be improved it is offered in winter. I also checked the description again and nothing was mentioned about this
