Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

If I had to pick anything, I would have liked more coffee and milk in the room. 1 drink each per day was not enough for us - there was a good selection of tea but not enough milk (even if we had wanted to drink tea). I’m sure if we’d asked, they would have provided more.
Location was perfect - very central, with easy access to all areas of the City. Even though we were in the City, the room was well insulated from the noise and we didn’t hear anything at night - it was very comfortable and a great nights sleep. The breakfast was very well presented and a really good selection. The team were very welcoming and helpful.

The gym has very little space - too much equipment is in the room for its size. It also would have been nice to have airconditioning in the room.
The room was in great condition and there was superb soundproofing so we heard nothing from the nearby streets. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast, with a very wide range of food on offer and all very high quality.

Location was good. Walking distance to metro, markets, restaurants and palace. Train station walkable from the hotel with luggage as downhill. Room was well sound proofed.

We struggled to get to grips with the T.V., but worked it out in the end. Apart from this, nothing to complain about
Location was perfect, close to Metro and train station. Several good cafes and restaurants around and not far from major museums. Most things are in easy walking distance. All very good.

I really cannot think of anything that could be improved. It definitely exceeded my expectations.
Great value for money! The hotel is located within walking distance of major attractions and restaurants. The room and bathroom were impeccable, and the staff was friendly.

Reception staff could be friendlier as we didn’t receive much help with extending our stay directly and instead were told to just check the website and that they are unable to confirm if rooms are available etc. and breakfast price was €21/pp which we decided to skip as several independent cafes available next door to the hotel
Perfect location located a short distance by walk to the main station, the main museums, main plazas, main food outlets everything was easy to access by foot did not need to use taxis/public transport, room was very spacious, fridge and desk provided, double balcony was also great, slippers/robes/toiletries provided. Location was so fantastic we decided to extend our stay by 4 nights on their direct website

Because the mattress cover was made of synthetic, type of nylon, I could not tell if it was clean. It did not have the texture and clean odor that cotton has.
