Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Tea left in room was herbal not breakfast tea so had to keep asking for it. Slow restocking of breakfast items in the restaurant.
The beds were comfy. Room was clean. Complimentary Water was left.

The rooms are a strange setup and could use some refurbishments and updating. The shower / toilet layout was ridiculous and every time you had a shower it would drench the whole toilet and area surrounding.
The location was so good and the staff were extremely helpful.

Gym was closed for duration of our trip. This wasn’t communicated prior to arrival & was disappointing as it was a factor for booking this hotel.

In the heart of city centre, few steps from the P.za Ayuntamiento.It is really a great location for sightseeing, shopping and bars,restaurants.Especially during Las Fallas. The staff is very kind and helpfull.Room was very clean and recently renovated. They have a local restaurant in the hotel,but unfortunately we didn't have time to try it. Definitely we will come back.

It's really to complain about something: the wifi speed in the hotel was really not that great.
The location is perfect, just a few steps away from Plaza del Ayuntamiento, and very close to a ton of shops, restaurants, cafés, museums and other places of interest, as well as buses and metro for transportation. Although the hotel floor and reception area were in heavy relifting during my stay, I didn't experience any discomfort because of the work. The breakfast was as copious as it was good, and a special mention to the kindness and efficiency of the staff who helped me manage the theft of my wallet (beware of pickpockets at the grand market nearby!). The corner room was quiet, spacious and well-equipped. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had no problem sleeping like a baby.

There was way too little space to store our clothes and other stuff. The bathroom, though spotlessly clean, was a bit worn down. TV broadcast quality was not good, it was often broken.
This hotel is at an excellent location - all the sights of Old Town are within walking distance, numerous restaurants, cafés and shops nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable.

There was very little room to sit comfortably at the desk when I had to work. The two main aspects that could be improved have to do with the cleaning staff and the room temperature. While the maids were really helpful, we noticed that they did not appear to hover or at least sweep the bedroom floor. As for the room, the only way to cool this centrally heated room down was by opening both the outer and the inner set of windows, which is not an a viable solution in a central location near bars and restaurants (the noise levels and the smell of food were a bother ONLY when we had the windows open). Aside from these issues, we had a great time and will probably return to this hotel if visiting Valencia again.
Excellent location, near the main square and all the places of interest that we wanted to visit. The reception staff was very helpful, especially Luca. The room was relatively spacious for a triple. Very good mattresses, linens and towels. Easy to use safe.

We stayed in a first floor. Although the hotel was on a side road, it was quite noisy. Also I could hear an odd sound during the night which sounded like somebody carrying out some type of digging. The reception moved us to floor 5 and I could no longer hear this noise and slept peacefully.
