Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

For a hostel it was nice. It’s not a hotel which we knew. We’ve stayed in hostels before an this one is a very good one.
We uses the Hostel for a one night stay on our way home. It was relatively close to the airport ($20 taxi or $5.50 metro a few blocks away). Reception is open 24 hrs which was good for us as we had flight delays that got us in at 4am. For price it was good.

Maybe a bottle of water in the room, but everything was perfect.
The rooms are basic, but affordable. It is interesting to explore the facility and see everything they offer. The breakfast is basic, but you do not need anything else. They also stored our luggage free of charge, until we could check in.

The drink machine is crazy. It takes 5euro credit every time we buy a drink!! It must be reset the system to work even better.
The reception on ground floor is great for a group meeting.

As other reviewers say, immediate neighbourhood is not amazing, and gray bold hostel-style (well, it's some sort of student living) can indeed remind prison. But none of this was concerning, area still felt safe enough and decent residential areas are very close
Airport -wise location was perfect, 2 minutes by bus. Excellent estuary parks for walk and jogging, options to eat, small lunchbox breakfast for early check outs. Very basic but serves the purpose

Neighbouring guests were smoking weed constantly. The balcony wasn’t private at all. No kettle available to make tea/coffee.

The beds were a little on the firm side, which meant I didn't sleep as much as I would have liked. As this was just a short stay before flying home, it didn't affect me too much.
Check in was very easy, and the building was very modern. The room was in a very quiet area, and it was a very peaceful area. Even though we left before breakfast, there was the opportunity to take a pre-packed breakfast with us.

Soundproofing is rather lacking (you can hear other guests opening and closing doors). Our beds were squeaky. Shower water would run boiling hot without a warning!
Welcoming and helpful staff. Smooth check in and check out. Basic continental breaksfast included in the price (with excellent coffee). Elevator. Garden. Price (cheapest option near El Prat airport). Accesible by public transportation (bus and metro).

The floor is not very clean, including the bathroom and shower floors.
Location was close to the airport. One restaurant is about 15-20 walk. But we took a taxi because it raining and cold.

You get what you pay for. Don't expect fancy hostel for this price.
Budget stay, new building, clean room. Felt safe. Family of 5 stayed in one room for one night when waiting for a flight.

A suggestion would be to cover floors with carpets. The solid tiled floors in rooms and corridors meant sound travelled across rooms easily. eg TV next door, passerbys which can keep you awake.
Staff are excellent and helpful answering questions as well as prior to arrival via email. Do check with the staff the cost of taxis from airport which is about 2km away which is really useful as one of our 2x taxis tried to charge us €60 for a €20 ride @ 2300. Having this knowledge is extremely helpful for us. Convenience of location from airport as a handy overnight stopover before continuing onward journey.

All the beds was super squeaky. The breakfast was poor and the staff in the breakfast hall was not very pleasant and friendly.

The draining system of the shower is not the best. There is no isolation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, so even if we take a quick shower, there is water everywhere afterwards. One of the blankets in.our room was smelling... 😕

Breakfast was different on weekend vs weekday and not same items offered all the time, first come first serve basis. On the booking voucher, it said no parking facility when it had. Although at reception there were signs the reception could have asked if we needed parking or not especially since from experience the neighbourhood is not safe to keep car in the street.
