RomaniaThe Junior Suite felt crowded, dark and weird and far from luxurious. There is no door to the bathroom, the shower leaks water all over the floor, is full of visible mold and has a bad smell, the room of the WC is minuscule, there are not enough garbage bins (none under the sink, none in the sitting room where the minibar and coffee maker are). The furniture is original and interesting, but uncomfortable to use (everything falls off the bedstands, the storage space for clothes is insufficient for a 3 adults room). The wooden floor, the doors and the walls have visible wear&tear signs. The sofa bed is impossible to sleep on, dreadful quality and shape of the springs and mattress, we took turns each night so that none of us had their back broken too badly by struggling to sleep on it on consecutive nights. Apart from the artistic concept, i still think a hotel room needs to be comfortable, ergonomic and pleasurable to live in for a while - unfortunately, it was not the case - and given the cost and the quality of other SLH properties, it was quite disappointing.
The concept is interesting, the art pieces around the room and common spaces are beautiful and the building itself is gorgeous and in a great location, in the heart of the city, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops and touristic attractions nearby. The lobby and rooftop terrace are lovely, good quality bed linen and towels, nice smell in the lobby, very attentive and friendly staff who have been nice and helpful everytime we interracted.

This hotel is wonderful, no questions asked. Great location, amazing interiors, hotel personnel doing absolutely everything and going above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. There is also a great SPA in the hotel and a rooftop bar is amazing. The hotel is Mayan culture themed and has a small but wonderful art exhibition. Everything is very clean, my bed was really comfortable and I also had this great bathtub in the room. I went to celebrate my Birthday and felt very celebrated on the day! I can also recommend the VIP breakfast, in summer on a rooftop it is a wonderful experience.

United KingdomRoom was quite dark, although your not in your room all day it became a little frustrating Room 301. Also, if you need a rest during the day ( my husband recently had a new hip and needs to elevate his leg for a few hours a day) forget it. The house keeping staff made lots of noise, scrapping chairs, loud banging sounds, trolleys rolling up and down. This went on from 9am to 6pm. Other than that we loved the place.
Great hotel & staff and in a fairly good location. The roof top restaurant was really nice and the food great too and I think it was very reasonable. The rooms were very clean. Lots of nice places to eat nearby. Didn't have breakfast included. The hotel smelled wonderful, I guess it came from the spa.

United KingdomSadly our room didn’t receive the turn down service. I had booked a double room and I was checked into a room with two singles, the lovely lady on reception indicated that they would change to the double during turn down to avoid any wait immediately. However as turn down didn’t happen, I was left with two singles, and also was disappointed with no turn down. Booking a 5 star, the turn down is something that makes a stay a little extra special. This was very disappointing as I love the idea of the art hotels and had considered staying in another of the chain elsewhere, but I won’t given this omission. No reply to my email to indicate this error, and then when attempting to discuss on reception in the morning they seemed a little helpless and just gave me a card of someone to contact. A few hours after check out I received a mail to say that turn down was refused, which is simply not true. This guest service is not what’s expected in a 5 star place - super disappointing!
Perfect location to explore Barcelona, very warm welcome from all staff at reception and concierge. Lovely room with a window that opened to let in fresh air, clean rooms and splendid linen. Lovely terrace on the roof and a small but serviceable gym.

United Kingdombeds were rather hard and the rooms, while quirky, were not as user friendly as they could be. another bin would be helpful! some useful flat surfaces are needed…the upstairs was pretty but we didn’t use it at all. There are minimal English tv channels, so we weren’t using it as a living room. we used the stairs for storage as a birdcage took up a large proportion of our downstairs space.
