To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

GreeceToilet paper was not enough and we had to buy our own. What's more the noise from the lift was quite disturbing, especially late at night.
The location of the property was ideal, just above the Colόn metro station. The 24h reception desk was very convenient for our arrival after midnight. Our strolls along the R. de Recoletos will be unforgettable.

United States of AmericaThe apartment was adequate for our stay but we were disappointed in the condition of the unit. Although very clean and comfortable the physical upkeep of the unit is poor, the supplies were minimal and it was a bit noisy (typical city activity, i.e., barking dogs, kids playing, sirens... It's amazing how the sounds carried up 9 floors!) This was the most expensive apartment we stayed in our tour of 8 cities in Spain, even considering that Madrid typically costs more we had hoped for a bit more.
The apartment at Colon Suites was comfortable for our stay in Madrid. The location was close to several interesting restaurants, Retiro park and museums. Metro subway and bus stops nearby made it easy to get around the city and to the airport. The apartment was equipped with all necessary appliances in good working order and the city view was very nice.
