Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was warm, spacious and very clean. There was a place to wash and hang clothes. The food was excellent in the restaurant that was open all day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it.

Excellent newish facility with very nice single room with bath available. My room was great, nice bed. All other auberge services available: laundry, communal kitchen, eating area, outdoor areas, etc. This was one of the nicer places I stayed on this years Camino. First rate, esp. the charming and wonderful ladies on the front desk.

Everything was great
I got a very comfortable sleep in a nice warm room. I left early to walk the Camino and they kindly found some food I could purchase to make myself a little breakfast before starting. They have set menus for dinner. I made some special requests and they found a way to meet my needs. Really nice people and a good sleep.

Everything was perfect and above
This place has everything you need if you go Camino - very welcoming, its possible to wash and dry clothes, to dry boots after rainy day, good restaurant nearby. Eva is a fantastic person who took care about everything and showed us around. It is great to meet such a person after long day walk. Awesome and above.

I liked everything and everyone.
This is a fantastic albergue and pension. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms were wonderful and warm after a rainy day. The restaurant was very good and again the staff were so nice. I highly recommend this establishment when walking the Camino.

The only option for coffee in the hotel was a machine. I don't know the economics of providign coffee, but both the afternoon I arrive, and the following morning, a nice cafe con leche would have been welcome. Otherwise not a single thing to complain about...this was an excellant hotel.
I arrived at this hotel via Taxi on a vey trying day. Storms and fatigue had resulted with me taking a taxi, thus skipping about thirty kilomenters of the Camino. Walking into the hotel was like walking into an oasis in the desert. A fire was going,pligrims sitting about the comfortable lobby, and a very nice lady at reception. Once checked in the lady showed my my room. The room itself was exceptional! This is just what I needed for rest!. After a nap, I spent about an hour relaxing in the day room chatting with other pilgrims from around the world. I would highly suggest this hotel

I was a pilgrim walking the Camino de Santiago. I injured my knee while on my way to this hostel. The lady at the front desk insisted on carrying my bag to my room. The next day my knee was much worse and another member of the staff noticed that I was in distress. She and another lady ensured that I made it to a nearby medical clinic. I am truly grateful to them. The kindness of the staff at this place is unparalleled. I would stay here again without hesitation. Also, the room and food were excellent.
