Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomVery hard beds, hard pillows, hard towels. Because sleeping was so uncomfortable, I couldn't wait to leave for my next destination. The pillows gave me a headache, as they felt more like bricks, and the bed was so hard that my derriere, hips and back hurt and I couldn't get comfortable all night. I woke up like having been through the meat grinder. The towels are thin and hard - it's not that expensive to get fluffy towels, and it adds so much comfort. Towels is what people notice. It shouldn't feel like rubbing your face with sandpaper. The floor wasn't cleaned to my standards, and the bidet had urine stain and someone's pubic hair in it. The shower had black mould, which is a fairly easy fix.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, decent room, excellent location. Room was quiet, on 8th floor. I booked the hotel because of the price and found to my surprise that it had the best location in all of Barcelona, as the metro station that is 2 min away gets you to all important sights. There are 3 lines crossing at that station, and that's all you need. Even food and shopping is nearby and all around.

NetherlandsRoom on the first floor very very noisy. First time this level, never again. I would ask to avoid next time. Little light, from experience I know wall light was missing and it was too dark. Normally it's ok. Beds are a bit hard, for my liking, but you get used to it. Also, the other plusses outweigh a slightly hard matrass.
Location is fantastic, shops, restaurants nearby..This is my reason for coming back to this hotel for 10 years in a row. Nice size room and clean. Breakfast: usually we go outside, but this time included. Good variation of savoury, sweet, fruit, regional choices. I would rate it normally 8.5-9 but reviewing this time specifically it did not meet my expectation.

AustraliaA extra chair in the room would be handy for couples staying. Also a few more coat hangers in the cupboard would be appreciated.
Location is excellent. Centrally located within 30 minutes walk from all the main city attractions, including LA Rambla, Sagrada Familia and other Gaudi buildings. There are literally dozens of restaurants and bars within a block or two from the hotel. Our room was very quiet and of a reasonable size. The breakfast spread in the restaurant is excellent with lots of choices.

United KingdomThe room didn't appear to have regular amenities like a kettle or tea making facilities
I came over to participate in the Barcelona Marathon and the hotel was a short walk from the start line. Aside from the marathon start line, the hotel is in a fantastic location and a great base to explore Barcelona. The room while small, was more than suitable for a solo traveler or someone travelling on a tighter budget. Finally, the staff were all very welcoming and helpful!

United KingdomOur room was pretty dim as the window faces a wall and there weren't many lights in the room. Soundproofing wasnt great as you can hear people in the hallways and sometimes in the rooms next door, and the sounds of water pipes(?) from other rooms
location was excellent, there are direct trains to the airport and attractions just a few minutes away. Room was comfortable and facilities worked well

RomaniaSmall improvements can be made. We didn't have a hair dryer, they gave us only on request, very small glasses in the room if you wanted to drink a wine on the terrace, you didn't have to. They didn't have a spoon or an ashtray on the terrace.

CroatiaOk, I took a single room, but it's really terribly small, cramped. The view from the room is terrible, if you open the window you see a pile of bird excrement, the pigeons wake you up in the morning, and if not them then the noise from the hotel corridors. Someone should take care of that. The walls are very thin, you can hear everything, when you close the door to the room, even gently, you can't help but slam it because it gets stuck. I praised the breakfast, but another room should be opened because it is so crowded. There is no bar at reception...
The location is excellent, right next to La Ramble. Close to the metro. Good breakfast.

The front of house lady was superb on my 1st day. I was a little stressed due to the flight and travel to the hotel but she was phenomenally helpful and calm. Was doing the Marathon and it was a superb location for that and all the other activities I did.
