Room was very small and very basic. I also didn't quite understand the purpose of the street door and hostel door key that was provided. If we have the app to unlock the door why do we need those two keys. Just out of curiosity I tried to use the keys but I couldn't get them to work.

The instructions were very clear with photos provided as well. I think they have 3 toilets so it's usually free if you need to use it. The key unlocking app thing was cool, I'd never used something like that before

The room(A) was pretty small, the bed was unstable and a bit squeaky,the shared bathroom didn't seemed to have been cleaned the 2 days I was there and the city tax was 18 extra euros for the 2 nights I stayed. Also,some other guests were really loud at different hours of the night and early morning.

The location was great, in a beautiful old building situated on a pretty street,close to a metro station and the bus stop heading to Guell Park was 2 minutes away. Sagrada Familia was located at approximately 15 minutes by foot. Esther was very very helpful and nice, responding promptly to all my questions and needs. A surprise 8 euro tax payment at the place. Perhaps I missed it in the description, I am not certain. The sheets, tables and beds are pretty clean, but the rooms could use a paint/clean up of the walls/floors. Noise gets to you easily as the walls are very thin. The bed was also noisy when moved. Both didn't bother me much as I was usually too tired already by the time I am in the room for sleeping.

I knew what I paid for, a basic small room in a hostel. However the staff, even though not always present at the place, are very responsive and active. They were very flexible with keeping my bags in storage and communicating its pick up.

During the night, you could hear the noise from the other tourists dus to old doors.

The property is near the Sagrada familia and Triumph Arch. The coffee machine was a nice touch.

I think that to change some new lamps in the bathrooms is not so much expensive. There is a lack of light in several rooms such as bathroom and hall with the fridge. In my room I did not have any kind of table or small desk for my laptop and studying.

The old glass door wardrobe is dangerous, as I was hanging one of my jacket with the door wide open it topped over and hit me on the head leaving a small scrape on my name head. Was not impressed!!!

There was no fan in our room despite being advertised in the listing. There is an annoying bright orange light above the bedroom door and the bed was so springy and uncomfortable which made sleep tricky at times. Also no communual sink despite a fridge/microwave.

Great location close to everything - lots of public transport options as well! Its on the gran via so was noisy but thats the sacrifice for location. The staff were super, the facilities kept clean. Aircon was available for 5€ per day - we didnt use this and just had the shutter open which was fine. One of the cheaper places to stay in Barcelona - given the price we were happy with out stay overall!

It is- potentially- really loud. The ceilings are tall with tile floors- which look great, but are terrible for amplifying sound and the walls are thin and no door thresholds either. As a result, if other guests were loud- it was loud- for instance, Sat night had to ask other guests hanging out and on the phone in the common area to go on the balcony as otherwise it was like someone talking loudly in our room. Luckily, that was the only night people were loud and the rest of the time it was nice and quiet. Still adding some carpet or tapestries might help dampen noise. There isn't really any access to a kitchen or water outside of the bathrooms. I guess I found this weird in that there was a microwave and fridges but no plates or utensils (just very small paper cups for the coffee), or space to wash things- so like a sort of kitchen but not in a practical way. Otherwise, as has been noted by others, door handles were often not in great shape, the wardrobe in our room- while attractive, needs to be repaired as it lists when you open the door (we refrained from using it).

Good value for a private room especially when you consider per person it isn't much more than the cost of a bed in a shared room at a hostel. Felt secure and was a reasonable price in an excellent location. Enjoyed the shared balcony in the morning sun too. It was clean, easy to find, and mostly as advertised- basic but totally fine. Not a place for hanging out, but good as a place to sleep which was what we wanted. I'd definitely consider staying there again if the need arises.

Would have been good to know before that we had to call to be let in the room - although I may have missed this instruction somewhere.

For the price it was very comfortable, in a nice location, and the bathrooms were very clean. We would come back.
