Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicA nice small hotel located just walking distance from Marbella's historic city center. All was clean and well equipped. It is just a 10 minute walk downhill to the nearest beach.

SpainThe hotel is located in the old town. All the attractions, Bars, Restaurants and club within minutes walking. The beach about a 10 minute walk, and the new town with all the regular stores is down the hill. The room and air conditioner work like a charm. Juan manager took care of all we needed. Muchas gracias.

IrelandI was in Marbella for a wedding and this lovely hotel was right around the corner from the church. We had a nice room with a good bathroom and aircon as well as good internet. What really stood out was the wonderful staff - each one we met was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely too, although we didn't avail of it as much as we should have! They also offered luggage storage which was handy for exploring the city after checkout. They also offered nice big cold bottles of water for €1 which was much needed.

United KingdomThe shower in our room would need to be replaced. It was a telephone box-type shower and the sliding door kept coming off the rail. It was very cramped and there was no shelf in the shower to put your shower gel and shampoo. The base of the shower door was rather moldy. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were not. They were very thin and shapeless. The Booking.com website illustrating the Don Alfredo Hotel stated that the hotel had a cafe bar that served traditional Andalusian tapas. There was no such cafe bar. The picture gallery had a picture of people seated at tables on the hotel terrace. I was disappointed that they no longer have that facility as the terrace is just across from the old castle and would be an excellent place to relax with a drink and something to eat as it is very peaceful and quiet. I was told that the cost of the license was too expensive.
The hotel staff could not have been nicer. They were so helpful and pleasant. The hotel location is just about perfect. A two-minute stroll to the old town, and a ten minute stroll to the beach. The rooms are dated, but spacious and clean with good air conditioning. Bed linen and bathroom towels are changed daily. Our room overlooked the old 9th-century castle. The breakfast was good. Great coffee. Very good value for accommodation and breakfast when you consider how pricey Marbella can be.
