Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Wifi wasn’t good and the door wasn’t firm as it kept moving when the wind hit it which was slightly annoying
Room was very spacious, bathroom was great, bed was comfortable, desk was large enough for work and the temperature was fine.

No kettle/cups in room for coffee/tea. Slow response on remote for TV. No information booklet for status of restaurant. Online said it was temporarily closed but we saw people ordering food after we’d ordered a takeout!

The neighbors were too loud

It is a bit strange to find that a 4 star hotel does not provide coffee or tea making facilities in the room. Every time we had to come down to the recpetion to get hot water so that we could make our own tea in the room.
Hotel was clean, room and bathroom was spacious, breakfast was good. Supermarket and McDonald's was just a few meters from the hotel. To get to Madrid by train one needs to walk 1.3 km to reach Getafe train station

Not much in the immediate area although the food served in the bar was good and reasonably priced.
Free parking was a bonus. The breakfast had an excellent choice Not far from Getafe Central which had fast and cheap trains into Sol in the centre of Madrid

We were there for a concert so it was fine, but would choose a more central location if I was visiting Madrid. A bit more difficult to get to using public transport. Please add a water fountain, they are everywhere in Madrid and it would be mch appreciated by hotel guests.
Room was spacious, with a big bedroom and a separate room that can be used as a second bedroom with enough privacy for everyone. Refreshing water at reception.

For the price, it would have been good to include tea and coffee, either in the room or lobby. Overall, it was a very quiet room, but some rooms must have faulty doors that need fixing, as there were slamming doors that echoed through the building. They could be heard in the room and even down in the lobby. They slammed throughout the day and night.
The room was lovely and spacious and clean and looked like the pictures. There was plenty of parking on site. Our room was tidied daily with new fresh, large towels. There was generally good sound proofing from any outside noise. The jug of fruit flavoured water in the lobby was nice. Really close to a supermarket, and about 20 minutes walk to the train station (not metro)..

There was no bar open in the day due to renovation which is ok but they should inform as we arrived but couldn’t get any drinks

The restaurant was closed for an update but it'll be great when it's opened.
We were going to the MadCool music festival and needed a hotel nearby. It was ideal for our needs. Rooms are a good size and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of storage in the wardrobes if you're staying for business. There's restaurants, a supermarket and the station a short walk away. There's also ample parking outside and in the basement.

We liked everything
We liked the comfort of the room, the bed, the attention to details, the fact that the hotel was in a quiet area and it was very good for relaxing. Everything was very clean and well maintained, the staff was joyful and the free parking was a huge plus.

Toilets might need a little refurbishing
Unlike other Spanish hotels we have been to bed was excellent, very wide and tall with comfy mattress -slept like a baby. Staff was very kind, hotel was clean.
