Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaThis hotel need maintenance and upgrade. It feels old, the doors are not closing well and there is wind passing. They don’t clean too well the room and it feels like you stay in dirt. We did not used the kitchen because there is almost nothing inside.
It is a big property with a great pool and big restaurant.

United KingdomThe food was on offer was a bit disappointing on most days due to the quality and variety on offer. The fitness room/ gym was small and not well equipped at all and most machines didn't work. Live music was a nice option but would have preferred recognisable songs and a place to dance.
The overall look of the hotel was impressive and the pool overlooking the sea was lovely. Lovely size room and view. Shower was powerful. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

PortugalI believe this hotel has been stagnant overtime, while we see other Spanish hotels of the same category improving, for instance in healthier food and quality - while at breakfast there were 2 large tables of industrial cakes and sweets, the fruit variety was poor, yogurts were not refilled, no fresh juice (only the sweetest and lowest quality you can get), etc.. Another point to improve is the room service - in 5 days there was no day where the towels were right: missing bath towels or hand towels or having hand towels instead of bath towels... - some beds were also missing sheets or blankets, body cream not refilled, etc. Last point - it's the all-inclusive hotel that I know where I have to pay for expected to be included things - we must pay for the indoor pool (per hour), for food after 22h, for the food at the beach-club, for the beach-club floaters otherwise you can't use the water slides... makes little sense to me and it wasn't mentioned anywhere when booking the hotel.
The beach club is great, the sea views from the room (and the hotel in general) are wonderful, the hotel Polynesian decoration is nice. It's a great hotel for families in general. We have noticed a great improvement in sustainability aspects - much less plastic in use than in previous stays which is very positive.

HungaryThe check in was really slow, even when no one was there in the evenint 10PM we had to wait like 30 mins with the baby and the 6years old, just to get everything settled. They also did not have any food options after 10PM other than the vending machines which had snacks and soft drink in it. The beach is not close, 20 mins very comfortable walking distance due to the curvy and hilly road, that is challenging to take with a family and little ones. Also parking space is almost impossible to find in the evening hours (after 6PM), and need to be really careful not to hit any other cars in the very packed/ and not really built parking spaces. Those could be maybe better done.

United KingdomHaving to pay for the spa when the weather wasn’t great! Or at-least offering a discount price to those who wanted to use the facilities. You had to ask what was on and how to obtain different things I.E mini golf, a towel card, when the bowling and arcades were open!
Lots of things weren’t in season so that was a little disappointing! If that’s the case then other options indoor wise should be on offer.

FranceRoom Safe is not free, very limited kitchenware (ex. there’s a chopping board but no knife), they provided us with a broken plate that they glued together, no iron and ironing board in the rooms (you can borrow the iron at reception but you have to get the ironing board at the laundry room in another level and it’s usually not there)and you have to go to the reception for anything for ex. borrowing an iron, paying for the use of the laundry room, paying for the use of the in-room safe, paying for the use of the children play area. The onsite store could have more items to be sold too like stuff for the kitchen since every room has a kitchen. Most of the restaurants are closed and will only be open for the summer. The bathroom in the room only has a shower head but no handheld shower. It would be nice to install a heater inside the bathroom to dry the towels or even your swimsuits.
Location, views, facilities for both adults and kids, big rooms with balcony and kitchen and good breakfast selection. There’s an onsite store where you can buy some stuff that you may need. There’s plenty of onsite restaurants. Daily turndown service.

United KingdomLack of vegetarian options, food was cold if you arrived late to meal schedule times. Also need more varied food for kids. Cold outdoor pool, room decor was dated, tvs could be updated, also need tv in bedroom, mini golf and play areas were run down, location is a bit remote - need to catch taxi. Need to pay for room safe. The snacks throughout the day with all inclusive limited at times to cold sweet stuff - not savoury, and hot food snack was mostly meat food, not much choice for vegetarians other than salad.
Breakfast, Indoor Spa, Cleanliness, Staff, Sea View, Soft drinks and hot chocolate with all inclusive, outdoor pool size and depth, arcade area with pool table, main hotel decor theme was great with waterfall, bridge, turtles, fish and birds. Requested veg pizza from chef as we could not eat meat. There is a beach walking distance away. Onsite shop is nice. Access to waterpark with all inclusive.

GibraltarWhilst the food was great for meat eaters there was not much variety for vegetarians. Furthermore foods need to be labelled more accurately and perhaps even sign vegetarian options with a v sign. One of the nights there was a pasta dish labelled spinach and cheese pasta one of our party opted for it as a vegetarian option only to find bits of bacon at the bottom of the plate!! The Halloween show could have done with more audience participation. It would be great if the entertainment staff could have involved the kids in the audience calling some up to join them like the reps do in holiday Village. Blackout curtains missing in the lounge which doubled up as a bedroom meaning the light woke everyone up at sunrise.
The pools and beach club were great. Reception staff were friendly. The Halloween passage of terror was a nice touch for the kids.

United KingdomThere is a deposit needed for all-inclusive wristbands which doesn’t seem to be necessary. There was also a €4 cup charge for slushies which again seems unnecessary as the children could have used normal cups. The beach club was a disappointment; we were all-inclusive and the snack bar was closed (from September) and there was a hefty hire charge for the inflatables needed for the slides (€17 hire €13 deposit for a double float; we needed two). This seems unnecessarily high and means you feel tied to the beach club to get your value for money, but without the snack bar open, this was hard. There were only two water slides so the whole thing felt very lack lustre and a disappointment for my children. For me, the hotel was extremely large and felt a little overwhelming; I visited in October and it wasn’t too busy around the hotel or by the one pool. I can however imagine it would be very busy in the summer and this would put me off; but that is a personal preference rather than a reflection on the hotel.
The Hotel Polynesia is an enormous hotel in a huge complex and they have worked extremely hard to make it feel like an event. Staff are friendly and helpful and they tried hard with the entertainment (Halloween was fantastic). The lobby is impressive and certainly has a wow factor. The family room (Junior Suite) was spacious and clean. There was one all-inclusive buffet with a good selection of food and short queues. The pool was lovely and the bus shuttle service to the beach club was great. There was a bus stop outside the hotel to go to Fuengirola and Torremolinos, we had a fantastic day trip to Fuengirola to the market and to the Bioparc which is a must-visit for families.

GibraltarThere was very little choice for Gluten Free options at the main meals & snack buffet (though lactose free/plant based milks had a good selection).
We loved how much there was to do for our 18m old. The beach club was amazing, with a splash play zone and shallow pool perfect for littles. He even tried out the wave pool, pirate ship & water slides too! The turtles, birds and fish in the hotel were a hit; baby had to see them all a couple times a day. The pool and evening entertainment was very good too.
