Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere is not much wrong with this place, the only thing I did notice was that the walls are quite thing and you could hear everything next door .This was not a big problem for me as the people next door went to sleep early but could be if you have noisey neighbours .
The location is great close to really good cafes and restaurants , also walking distance to Alhambra. The receptionist was amazing , so helpful ! . She gave me really detailed instructions how to find things and a kettle to make tea. My only regret is that I did not stay longer.

Very good location. Close to sights and plenty eating and drinking places. All staff very helpful. We dealt specifically with Valentina, who got all necessary info to us, even though the technology appeared to be beating us. Not the biggest rooms but definitely value for money and kept clean. Great place for a short break in a beautiful city.

IrelandSliding door to bathroom didn't fully close, slightly broken. Window onto street didn't easily open. Could be noisy when other guests use shower, walk in corridor etc.
Fantastic location. Comfortable beds. Kettle and tea. Great staff, friendly, clear communication. Would definitely recommend the hostal

GermanyDue to it's proximity to the city centre and a main road it was quite noisy during the night. More expensive compared to accommodations in other Andalusien Cities. Not so good value for money.
Clean apartment with fridge close to Alhambra and historical city center. No electric kettle in the room but we could borrow one at the reception without any problems.

United KingdomNothing. I liked everything
The hotel was easy to find and right by Calle Elvira which has many great tapas bars, cafes & restaurants. It is also well-positioned if you want to see the sunset from Mirador de San Nicolas. I very much enjoyed the spa (I paid €40 extra for use of the steam room, hot & cold pools & the half-hour massage (which was wonderful). The staff at the hotel particularly Anda & Carmen were very welcoming & helpful… I have very good memories of Hostal Arteaga. Thank you I had a wonderful magical time.

CanadaThe room is rather small and bathroom is situated very close to the bed with a door that didn’t close properly which makes it awkward when one person is sleeping and the other is going to bathroom.
The location of this hotel is perfect. Close to restaurants and places of interest. Hotel is very clean and staff helpful.

SpainI really hate the entrance and exit procedure for before and after hours. Also, would like to be able to open windows for fresh air.
Hair dryers are now in bathrooms. I come here when I need a mini fridge. The air conditioner is on a side wall not above my head as in other hotels. That cold bottle of complimentary water.

SpainThe room was perfectly clean but a little on the small side. The aircon was ferocious, but a bit too noisy for us and shone a green light all over the room so could not be used after bedtime.

United KingdomWe recently had the pleasure of staying at the Arteaga Hostal and it was an absolutely fantastic experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we stepped into the Hostal, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness by the staff. Their genuine hospitality and willingness to assist with any inquiries or needs made us feel instantly at home. They provided us with a map of the city, recommending some local hidden gems that we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. The Hostal's location is located in the heart of Granada, it allowed us to explore iconic locations such as the Alhambra and Mercado de San Agustín. We've parked the car and then forgot about it during our stay. The convenience of its central location saved us a great deal of time and transportation costs. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed. In summary, Arteaga Hostal provided us with an unforgettable stay in Granada. Its outstanding location, top-notch hospitality, and attention to detail made our trip truly memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this Hostal to anyone visiting Granada.

The staff are fantastic. So friendly and helpful. It is in a great location, Calle Elvira is full of lovely places to eat and drink and near a beautiful plaza for hanging out in at night. Alimentation shops round the corner also and a 5 minute walk to get buses, C30, C32, and C34 to the Alhambra. Our room was basic and small but very clean with great air conditioning (it was 38 degrees when we were there so that was very welcome!)and a mini fridge! It was also exceptionally quiet at night.

CanadaI prefer to have an option if a flatter pillow, and a lamp that is a little brighter than the side table lamp they had, so you don’t need the bright overhead light on.
I had a great stay here. The rooms are simple but clean and the place is so well located. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I especially enjoyed the on-site spa, it was good value, and a great way to recover from all the walking at the Alhambra. The bed was also comfortable.
