the room is a bit small for 3 people, almost no space to walk after opening 3 suitcases the socket has some problems, some noise occur when use outside the window is a narrow area where the air is bad so we couldn't open the window to refresh

My room didn't have a view but meh I was fine with that. But I did have a hard time showering I'm not the biggest guy but I'm.also not a tiny child, this would be my only real complaint for others.

The Hostal does not have visible and clear information of the door to arrive in the street.

Excellent location, near of Plaza Mayor, Commerce, restaurants and Mercado San Miguel and other points of interest! The rooms are something old but classics and confortables.

The furniture and the facilities haven't been renewed or modified for decades and it's decoration is just horrendous. Also, they don't let you keep the room key (which is a perforated card lol) and you need to pick it up from reception every time. I could hear everything going on in the corridor and every other room.

Nothing really. The only thing I would have avoided was the change of our towels every day. There was no need for this. Staff did not speak any English, however we could communicate anyway.

The property was perfectly located in the centre of Madrid, 1 minute walk from Mercado San Miguel. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable.

When we arrived at the building the man at the reception first couldn't find our reservation. After that, when he somehow found it (or maybe it was only then that he actually saw that someone had made a reservation through the website) we got a room that we didn't reserve. Only because of the small terrace and the beautiful view, we chose this accommodation, and first we got a room that is so small that it barely fits a bed and has a window that overlooks the interior space between the buildings, so without a terrace. After we protested, the man at the reception told us that the only sure thing which room we will get is when we book with them directly, over the phone, this way, via website, they don't know and anyone can promise us any room. After we asked for our money back, we got a transfer to another room, the room we booked through the website, with a terrace.

Location is amazing, just one minute walk from square Major. City is beautiful. Room was fine, small, with very small bathroom and very nice little terrace.

The walls are thin, so you can hear every loud noise from the adjacent rooms or the hall.

My booking was saying "city view" but instead the window of my room opened to an approx, 8-10 m2 dark and smelly atrium surrounded by the back of the neighbouring buildings. The bathroom was not at all the same as shown on the photos when booking. The shower tray was crammed into such a tiny place that it was impossible to take a shower without the shower courtain continuously sticking on to me. Leaving near the wardrobe my previous day shopping in a bag, it was obvious that the cleaning staff went through it - nothing was missing though.

The location is great, central, everything nearby and easy acceses by foot. The staff was very friendly and helpful, it was no problem to leave my luggage at the reception for the afternoon after check out. Easy check in and check out. The room was very clean, room cleaning arrived every day. Taking into account the Madrid accommodation prices, this hostal has a good value for money.
