To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We stayed in the suite and it had the most amazing view. Centrally located to everything. I would not opt for breakfast again. Over priced and not great. Excellent concierge. He booked everything for us. Front desk was amazing, the even parked our car. My only complaint was breakfast.

PortugalThe rooftop terrace, overlooking the Cathedral, is closed for renovation. There is a lot of hammering from 8am, although the reception staff did offer a change of room.
The location is excellent. The hotel is situated very close to the main attractions and shopping area in a quiet street. All of the internal features of the former mansion are formed with 18th. Century, classical Sevillian architecture, hosting an Andalusian patio.

Fascinating building located right in the center of the old town. Maria on the front desk was so helpful as was the concierge and restaurant staff. The buffet breakfast was superb and a great way to start the day.

United KingdomDid not realise on booking that we had a room without a window to the outside world - in hindsight, we should have asked for an upgrade when we arrived, even if it meant paying a little more. It was a little disappointing that the rooftop bar / restaurant was undergoing a refurb so was inaccessible for our stay. We look forward to seeing it next time!
