Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe location is amazing. The town is very nice and the hotel is directly at the beach. Last rays of sun on the hotel terrace. The hotel provides in all the basic needs, nothing too fancy. It is great value for the price.

United KingdomI booked a room with balcony but didn’t get one. The initial booking definitely stated balcony but to be fair other parts of the booking said maybe a balcony. Some things in the room needed attention such as loose shower head etc. Aircon was good but noisy but we didn’t really need it in October.
Fantastic location Room was clean Good breakfast and friendly staff Room was fairly quiet. Very near bars and restaurants. Would recommend the Restaurant El Pirata.

United KingdomI thought we had a room overlooking the bay. Instead we were put in an annex. However, we had the bonus of a pool, but sadly couldn’t use it as we left before it opened at 11am and it closed at 6pm.
Spacious comfortable bedroom with private patio. Staff could not have been more pleasant. Fantastic buffet breakfast.

United KingdomWe had an issue on check in, we were given the wrong room and we're made to move the following day. It was frustrating due to the lack of communication about what happened. However Kathy on the front desk sorted everything out, and explained the mistake and made us feel a lot better afterwards. The beds are a little firm. I like a firm bed but they are verrry firm. If you're used to a soft mattress you will struggle. We didn't eat at the restaurant but waited 30 mins to make a drink order but they never came over. The area the staff have to manage is huge so I understand the difficulty but it was still irritating.
The hotel is perfectly located right by the tram stop, right by the beach, and walking distance to everything in the marina. It has a nice view of the sunset in the evening too from the balconys at the front. Kathy on the front desk is very helpful and friendly!

AustraliaBeds were average, provided two singles instead of a double and there was no fridge in the room.
Unbeatable location, great value for money relative to the surrounding options but still pricey for what it is. The room was clean and the service was good. Two singles instead of a double in our room unfortunately. Would recommend to all, the area is amazing and this is a great base. Aircon is exceptional

United KingdomThe hotel is tired. The aircon unit was partially broken (the swinging vent was only fixed on one side) and the shower room was small and stuffy. The aircon wasn't switched on before our arrival, so it took most of the few hours that we were there to cool the room down. Although huge, the room and balcony are at the back of the hotel, with a view over other balconies and rooftops. You could be forgiven for forgetting that the hotel is right on the front, facing the sea because you don't see it.
We only booked this hotel as late checkout was not available in our own hotel. We stayed for only a few hours, in order to have a shower and wait for our taxi. The room we were given was huge, with a great big balcony (room 19, I think). The staff seemed friendly enough, and were very proud of having given us this big room. The location of the hotel is very central for bars, shops and restaurants and right on the sea front.

United KingdomMost of the staff was really nice and accommodating, for example we arrived for a late evening check-out when the bar was already close but the person at the reception was happy to let us have a drink on the terrasse anyway. However we also encountered some less accommodating staff members, for example my partner wanted an espresso at the hotel bar in the evening and the person behind the bar told him “no coffee” straight away. We went to seat on the terrasse only to hear 2 minutes later the coffee machine running as they were having a coffee between staff members. Also bedroom cleaning started really early on the Saturday morning (around 8am) and they knocked at our door and wake us up which is not really what you would like on holiday.
Good location in Port de Soller, room functional and clean.

United States of AmericaThere was no-one at the front-desk receiption area upon arrival, ~6.30pm. I asked to see the room, I checked in: It seemed unclear how to checkin my http://booking.com reservation. Reception lady made a new print-out and hand written notes as the process was unclear to her. Unprofessional checkin for a hotel. Seems to be a family business lacking training of the front-desk. Was told breakfast is from 8-10. At breakfast I was told breakfast is not included in my rate. That is not a problem, I am happy to pay but the situation could have been beend handled more quietly and professionally. Also, during checkin, say upfront whether breakfast is included or not. Internet is very slow was not able to FaceTime home. Definitely not good for business video calls. A/C at 19 celsius produced a steady, unstoppable stream of water drops making it impossible to fall asleep. Raising the temperature to 21 degrees solved the problem. Entering the corridor from the elevator, it is dark, ceiling lights come on only when getting closer to the motion detector, you have to walk in darkness for 10-12 feet. The front-desk lady seemed surprised my reservation was not on her printed list - my booking which was admittedly later in the day, as I was arriving by bike from Paguera. Lady seemed unhappy about http://booking.com reservation perhaps rate is lower than other guests pay? Don’t know. Slightly unfriendly checkin. I will not come back here bc of unfriendly lady.
The room on 3rd floor was nice, large, bright, friendly. Has a newly remodeled, beautiful bathroom with a nice shower. The room as a large balcony facing the north-western part of the Pt. de Soller village. There is a table and two chairs, careful with placing clothes there to vent, as nightly winds can blow anything off that balcony that is not tied down. One could hear the neighbors in the adjacent room. Hotel location is fantastic, close to the marina, and also close to the bathing beach. Hotel will have sun late in afternoon when the properties on the left side (looking towards the sea) will be shaded already bc of the small hill to the left. Good segmentation of the hotel, when approaching from main promenade, the bar area is to the left, restaurant area in the middle, breakfast area to the right. There is no special garage for bikes, but I was allowed to keep and charge my e-bike in common area behind the bar. This worked out well. Bar tender is very friendly guy, answered all my questions kindly.
