We booked on a Sunday for the Monday. Within an hour or so of booking the hotel was showing as fully booked. When we arrived we found that we were the ONLY 2 guests staying!! They had a large wedding on the weekend and I suspect that they wanted the Monday to clear up and forgot to block out any bookings. Anyway, as the only two people in a 35 room hotel it was a bit strange, but ultimately a fantastic experience. The staff could not have been nicer. The lady at checking was excellent. We booked for dinner and a table for two was set up on the terrace. From pre dinner drinks to a few drinks after, we were never rushed or felt to feel we were the only guests. The service was fantastic as was the food. Breakfast again, was really good with a good continental spread set up for just the two of us. The hotel itself is beautiful with loads of character. Lovely gardens and a fantastic pool. This is a great place for a relaxing stay.

it’s not that we didn’t like it but if anything could be improved is the menu as choice is limited. However the food they had was excellent. They could also improve the selection of red wines.

The swimming pool area could use more shady areas. The breakfast could use an egg boiling machine to boil your own eggs, would have added a lot, plus more jam variations (if you don't like peach you are unlucky). Internet connection was not good.

The place is amazingly beautiful. Very good kitchen, we had delicious dinners. Beautiful swimming pool area. Table tennis was fun. Dry and wet sauna available for free. Breakfast with fresh orange juice.

It was a very quiet hotel, the setting is beautiful. I definitely recommend this place for a relaxing break, no rush, no overcrowding no bustle. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Low on staff so waiting time at restaurant was a bit too long.

The hotel has wonderful gardens and beautiful pool. Room is spacious and bed is very comfortable. Restaurant is of very high quality with more than decent servings. Friendly staff too.

Pool and fitness was a little dusty. The wooden door are not very sound proof but the place was so quiet with only the songs of swallows and birds.

This hotel is perfect for a relaxing stay surrounded with nature and possibilities to do day trips (a car is needed). It is a charming place and we felt very welcomed. The staff were friendly, uncomplicated and have done everything to make our stay unforgettable. Lunch and dinner is availbale at the hotel upon request (amazing cook ! ) The room and it's terrasse are spacious, confortable and filled with charm. Big swimming pool and beautiful property.

The place lacks attention to cleanliness! When we checked in, our bathroom was full of hair, an entire ball of hair on the floor. The bathtub needed some extra cleaning. No place to put your toothbrush. The bed covers were also full of hair, both on amd under them. Ants and spiders in the room. We asked for the room to be cleaned after we checked in, they did it but we still found hairs. Food: everyone is raving about their food. That is no where near good. Average, maybe. We payed 100 Euro for dinner with store bought croquettes, an imitation of a goat cheese salad with tasteless tomatoes and the most unappetizing cheese cake ever : also store bought. Breakfast, another big disappointment. We were told we could choose from the following: bread, croissants, canned tomatoes, butter, a few fruits, one type of cheese and one option for some mortadela or similar. Also, coffee, water. And a fine addition: freshly pressed orange juice. When we complained about everything at the reception, we were told we should have asked for eggs. The fact was that no one told us we had that option. The pool was dirty, full of wasps and the water had a rather greenish hue. I understand the "old look design". But this is past old. This place is run down, dusty, rather dirty on some places. Please be aware there's no phone coverage, no network. The wifi is not working at all.

The garden is nice, but also needs maintenance.

Through no fault of the hotel there was lots of wasps in and near the pool. This made it difficult to relax and enjoy the pool as we would have liked. The bathroom needed some maintenance and was , not kept up together (grouting black around shower and bath, taps bits missing , sink plug chain not fixed) such a shame easily fixed.

The breakfast was very good. The waitress went out of her way to make sure we had what we wanted. She brought everything to our table for us because of covid. We liked the peace and quiet of the surroundings. There was only a couple of guests and so mainly had the whole place to ourselves. The gardens and setting are beautiful and well kept.

The hotel is in no up to standard condition: wasp all around the pool and nests, dirty pool, surroundings all dry and in poor condition (nothing to do with the lovely photos of the surrounding gardens), etc.

What a wonderful venue, grounds beautiful, room lovely, the meals we had were so tasty and presented beautifully. The staff are just amazing, attentive and looks and make you’re stay super special. We will be going back soon.
