Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very good hotel located near the centre of Seville (around 10mins walk). The room was great with a lot of amenities and was super clean. The bed was very comfy. Plus point is the hotel has a parking although you will need a small car. This is great as we found it difficult to find a parking slot near the centre of Seville.

There was no view from the room but that wasn’t a problem. I appreciated the double windows.
Friendly warm helpful staff. always someone in reception. Felt like a safe hotel too, there are double entrances, and strangers can’t come in, so it is secure. Excellent location, family friendly, solo travel friendly. The area is mainly locals, and it feels authentic, atmospheric, and a safe area. Supermarkets close by. Walking distance to the bridge and the centre of town. Plus a great spot to explore this wonderful area too. The room was large and spacious; quiet, with double windows; and clean. Slept very well here. There is also an electric kettle for tea. Plus, a fridge!

Well just one thing. If you bring your own car, make sure it is not too tall, or it will not fit into the garage.
Excellent room, large and super clean. Lovely breakfast and brilliant location. I must emphasize the super treatment received by all members of staff. They were just great. Helpful and polite in the extreme.

The Monte Carmelo hotel can only be described in superlatives. Modern and very functional room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed, delicious breakfasts and extremely nice staff. But it is not everything. I came to Seville for 9 days to get to know this beautiful city, especially by bike. It happened differently - on the first night in the hotel I had a heart attack and found myself in an academic hospital, alone among the staff, where only some of the doctors knew English... Already the first morning, I was found there by the hotel manager, Elena Rojas, who, with extraordinary care, offered to help me with the whole situation. She became my guardian angel at that moment. After three days in the hospital, I returned to the hotel, where I stayed for 12 days to recover and prepare for the return journey. All this time, Elena and the staff took great care of me - I felt like I was among friends. It gave me extra energy and motivation. So I wholeheartedly thank Elena and the hotel staff.
