I was worried by them calling me to find out when our arrival time was. I had to give them an approximate time although I couldn't hear the phone properly. And then we were delayed but nobody answered the phone. This was not a problem in the end, but reminded me of an horrendous experience I'd had in Barcelona once, so the phone not being answered made me very anxious.

Property was in a reasonably quiet nice open area five minutes from one metro station and 7 from another. Seemed to be family run as the staff member on when we arrived was a young teen. She knew what she was doing though, and was pleasant. There are plenty of eateries nearby at reasonable prices and a Dia supermarket on the same block.

The hair dryer didn't work and had exposed wires. Also, there was only one long pillow in the bed, which wasn't enough for me and my wife, maybe we should have noticed before and asked and they might had more to offer but it was late.

Great staff, very welcoming! The room was very clean, and the hostal location is excellent. For the price you are paying its hard to ask for more.

They did not send any instruction on which floor they are in the building or what room to ring. So I have to call them but the number they sent me is not correct. Then I checked again on the website.

I didnt like that i had to pay extra to keep my backpack there for a few hours, and that the receptiomist wasnt there when i arrived eventhough i specied my time of arrival when i did the booking and confirmed the time by WhatsApp 3h previous to my arrival

Not changing the room towels, not fixing the beds, not throwing your garbage are small faults. If you want it all you should go somewhere else and pay more that the 80€ per night.

The owner was calm and helpful. He explained the rules of staying at the Hostal. Spacy room, everything was spot clean. Great location with real Spanish coffee and tea shops, cervecerias, pizzerias and super markets. In Chamberi, that's where the true spanish heart beats. Just off the Centrocentro of Madrid. If you like walking and exproring the city, the ideal place to be. Great to stay for 2-3 nights.

There was no window to natural air. It made the tiny room (#7) feel smaller than it already was (approximately 6x9 ft or 2x3m). There was a small opening of approximately 1 sq.ft. to the hall. It could be fine just to sleep a night or two but daily rain showers hindered my outdoor activities and I stayed inside the room more than I planned. I recommend not staying in Room 7 if you're claustrophobic. The statement on the site that "All rooms at Hostal Nersan2 have central heating, a flat-screen TV and a private balcony." is false. This room had NO private balcony.

Excellent rate. Easy access to lodging and room. Very clean room and common area. Secure. Convenient to many restaurants/bars/shopping. Spacious shower with hot water. Convenient access to power ports (near bed). Bag storage after checkout available.

Good location near central Madrid. The transportation around Madrid is very convenient. The staff were very helpful. I stayed in the room with a beautiful street view. Next to a Metro station. Its located in a very good area close to bars, shops etc.

There are no drinks-making facilities in the room or in the communal area. Being able to make a hot drink would be a great improvement. The shower head had to be held (and could not be attached to an overhead fixture). The shower water was either too hot or too cold. There was no hot water available in the wash basin.

I was greeted by a very friendly and clear receptionist. The room was roomy, airy and clean. The hotel is also very well situated. Its pricing is also reasonable. Access to the hotel was also very easy.
