Historic building, nice and comfortable room, perfect location just in the center, good breakfast, parking by the hotel ( could have been free for guests)

No evening meal served only light snacks and early in the week, early season no restaurants open close by which was a real disappointment.

We had a small suite, 306, amazing view and only room with a floor to ceiling window, well worth the extra. Front desk very helpful and all staff friendly and polite. Unique building and in a very lovely square.

The parking lot is rather small and difficult to navigate when it is full.

We had a beautiful room with a view over the sea in a fantastic historic building. The location inside the historic center of Hondarribia is great. here are nice restaurants and bars nearby. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend and are happy to come back one day.

From most of our interaction with people we noticed that they are not service oriented, especially the people involved in the horeca business. There is some truth about this also between the inhabitants themselves.

The view was exceptional. You cannot call the breakfast VERY good. It is a GOOD breakfast. We liked the hotel very much and would stay there again on my next visit.

We would have loved to have patronised a restaurant as we have superb memories of the restaurants in other Paradors. When paying I mentioned that I had had a bottle of water from the fridge and was surprised that I was charged for it, as it is quite often free in many hotels. A charge point for electric cars would be a good idea.

The room was very spacious, in keeping with the great age of the building, very well equipped and with amazing views of the sea and the Pyrenees. Also San Sebastian airport run way was very close, and it was exciting to watch Airbusses coming in to land over the sea. I hasten to add that there were very few planes a day, and that the bedroom was totally sound proof. 20€ a day for secure parking was a bonus.

The staff at checkout was not quite as helpful as everyone else we have met during our 5 paradore stays which was a disappointing end to all our experiences.

Amazing location. Excellent facilities and a great base to explore San Sebastian . Views from our rolm superb. History of building shared in an outstanding way. Staff terrific.

Since were were only staying one night, and the hotel was fully booked, I assume we got one of the lesser rooms and there was a bit of a smell in the room that bothered me. It´s something that you may have to take into account in a building dating back to the 10th Century. It did not affect the overall experience, we really liked the hotel.

The building is magnificent, a 10th century castle. The room was spacious. The common areas are excellent, the staff was friendly and the view from the patio over to Hendaye in France is breathtaking. The town of Hondarribia is very beautiful and worth the visit.
