It is a very basic place to stay the night

The single beds that were next to each other and they were making a double bed. However, it was difficult to sleep comfortably at night as the mattresses they were moving.

The bathroom and the location, which was walking distance for the beach, the cathedral, the castle and the main roads with bars and restaurants.

Very dark and hostel like. The shared bathroom didn’t look like it was being cleaned regularly and there was no electricity the following morning. We couldn’t turn on any lights or charge our phones. There looked to be a cigarette burn in the blanket on my bed and there was an overwhelming smell of cigarettes in the evening throughout the building.

Very central location and the staff were lovely.

Actually they said they didn't get the money from my credit card and I don't know if this is true or not because on booking it said the booking is confirmed ????? I want a quick answer as I am not able to get access to my bank account from here as it requires a code we receive it on local phone

The bathroom floor was quite dirty, the older lady was quite rude on the front desk as mentioned in other reviews, after a week of trying my Spanish language 'skills' on her she became a little more pleasant so I got used to her.

price was very good, the younger lady on the desk was very nice, I had a room with a balcony which was nice but one stay was with a room with just an nternal window which was not so nice as it was dark and a bit gloomy

It is a little dated and they do have ashtrays in the room, which amused me. But you get an authentic stay in 1970 as well as Almeria. Embrace it!

For what it is, it is perfect.

This is an old-fashioned pension, of the type that existed all over Europe before big expensive hotels became the norm. It gives you a private room to sleep, and a bathroom 2-3 doors down the hall. Very clean. If you are going to be a walking tourist it is perfect. Because of tis central location you can always pop in for a siesta before your next excursion.

I had to change room's as no Aircon? Air con working in new room but compressor unit for it was outside the window and was very noisy. Bed uncomfortable. Shower head has chrome falling off it. The whole hostel needs to be refurbished. The worst hostel I've stayed in.

Room smelled like smoke. Very strong stench of smoke - the smell of smoke was also under the blankets which were humid. Felt really unhygienic. There was an ashtray in the room so obviously somebody had been smoking there. Boise from outside Aircon went on and off during the night. Staff did not put an extra toilet paper roll.

-They took the key every time you left -The room was not clean even though they ”cleaned it” (without permission) -The room could not be locked from the inside and the door wouldn’t even shut properly, so I had to barricade it with a table or chair during the night

The floor by my bed was sticky (and definitely had not been swept/cleaned since the last guest, and probably longer). The bathroom was clean enough, though the shower wall scared me. The tap water tasted absolutely awful though. So bad I didn't want to brush my teeth, and ended up going to a nearby restaurant bathroom to do so. The bed sheets were okay, but the blanket looked quite old, and the mattress was nothing but springs. I've slept on my fair share of hostel beds and am not super picky, but this mattress was far and away one of the worst. There also wasn't an outlet by the bed, but that's more of a quibble than anything else. I can't believe I paid 35€ for the experience. Also not that it bothers me so much, but you can't really advertise yourself as a non-smoking establishment if you put ash trays in all the rooms.

There were no cockroaches and no bedbugs. I had a room all to myself. The sheets were not noticeably dirty.

Very thin walls - loud dispute among other guests at around 2AM. Bed sheets didn't look perfectly clean.

Good value for money, basic room with an ensuite and a television. Kind hosts who were at reception 24/7
