The most amazing hotel I’ve ever been in. The staff was amazing and the food was great. We arrived from an exhaustive Camino walk right before a deluge of rain. A river runs through the property, and we were able to watch it rise overnight. We were willing to quit the Camino if we could have stayed another night!

Torre do Rio is an "over the top" facility made even more special by its wonderful staff and restaurant service. Room was beautifully decorated, the views spectacular and the food fabulous!

The difficulty is with communication. Hotel Torre do Rio do not respond to communications via bookings.com. This is seriously damaging to their reputation.

This place is beyond words. We walked through the gate and were transported to a wonderland. The grounds, the buildings, the river, the pool and the charming house(s) and rooms. Our sole purpose was a pit stop along the Camino walk, but we would seriously consider planning another vacation JUST to stay here!!!

Amazing unique hotel with a natural pool with the river water running through it. The staff were very professional and clearly wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are large and well appointed. Being able to have dinner out in the grounds on wrought iron furniture and white linen (with a cardigan on) was a luxury you expect in hotels that are significantly more expensive .

One of (if not the) most special places we’ve stayed! Every part of the hotel is unique, artfully curated, and well taken care of. Not to mention, the staff are all incredibly friendly and the food was amazing (best breakfast ever, amazing homemade bread and pastries every day). Can’t say enough good about the place.

Minor, minor things: Dinner was a little on the expensive side. Wish breakfast had started earlier.

Off the Camino trail for sure but so worth it. A friend who had previously done the Camino recommended this place to us and we are glad we took his advice. The buildings and grounds are beautiful!! Stunning. Such a relaxing and tranquil environment. We only got to spend a little time in the pool and walking around before it unfortunately rained while we were there. Great night's rest. Appreciated that dinner was served on the premises. Really good food choices to pick from!! Definitely see us coming back and staying for a longer period of time :)

This property is exceptional. The rooms are beautiful, on-site meals were excellent and the grounds are simply stunning! Beautifully manicured grounds with palm trees, flowering terraces, a waterfall into the pool, and several patios to enjoy the fresh air by sun or shade. We would love to return for a future stay.

Slightly musty scent in the room upon arrival. Disruptive presence of kids took 1 the quiet, relaxing character of the hotel.

Gorgeous and picturesque location, perfect romantic couples' getaway. The elegantly decorated interior spaces and the stunning gardens & natural waterfall and pool are the standout features.
