Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Paying for Wifi in 2024??? That is really unheard of once you book a room. I was lucky to be close enough to use the free lobby wifi but still ridiculous in the 21st century to pay extra for something so basic
Great location, good value for money. Substancial breakfast and they were flexible for an early breakfast on race day! These little things make big differences.

The bathroom did not have a window or a fan so that it could be ventilated. The window in the room could not be opened even slightly to let fresh air in.
Staff was welcoming, the bed was comfortable , room was clean and overall it was a pleasuring stay.

Very little options to put belongings anywhere in the room. 4 coathangers for 2 adults staying 4 nights is not enough. A couple of shelves and hooks would not go amiss

Only a small thing, but I had trouble getting the Wi-Fi to work and it took staff bit of time to figure it out. Was not me or my PC just something weird with their Wi-Fi

The rooms in the hotel are very ordinary. The room lacked even a wardrobe for clothes, there was not much storage space. The beds are not very comfortable and we didn't find the cleanliness quite ok either. The hotel is quite busy.
Breakfast at the hotel was very good. The location of the hotel was close to the city center, within walking distance of the sights, but in a quiet neighborhood. The hotel is close to the beach. Local public transport is good, bus and metro stop near the hotel.

Nothing significant. sink did not drain properly but not bad enough to report.
Staff friendliness and effectiveness, both front of house and housekeeping. Breakfast was good quality and good selection. Hotel location, great. 30 mins walk from centre, 10 mins from beach and around the corner from a good variety of restaurants and shops. Room was clean, just a little dated.

No Aircon too warm at night uncomfortable to sleep.I was also surprised no welcome complimentary hot drink and kettle.We need to ask hardly to staff to provide Us.This hotel worst Travelodge we ever stayed in.The room need upgrading decorations too old did not meet our expectations.
Location was great lively good for tourists.Breakfast plenty of options to choose from these are the two things I liked in this hotel.The security guard in the hotel on our second day very helpful.

The wait for the lifts at busy periods was frustrating. The room temperature was to hot and we had to open the window even when it was raining our visit was in March. Finally the constant smell from the toilet was unpleasant.
Breakfast had a range of options and tried to cater for a variety of tastes. Location was good for metro and a walk to the beach where electric scooters were available to hire. Also within walking distance of a good variety of eating options.

We had a construction site next to the hotel outside our bedroom window which wasn’t mentioned on booking quite noisy in terms of morning
