Location is a small harbor near to the sea, nice cottage with all needed equipment and sauna, good breakfest. The owner is really nice person willing to help at any quetion.

It would be nice to have a hanger or a clothes rack to leave jackets right at the entrance - during cold winter we were wearing a lot of clothes;) The rest was perfect- we highly recommend Wanha Pappila to stay!

A nice spacious pet-friendly cottage with 2 bedrooms and a sauna, well-equipped kitchen, cosy design, good heating, beautiful view, tasty breakfast and a really hospitable and helpful host Ari- many thanks from our family! The cottage inside looks even better than in the photos;) It has free parking and is not far from the main road.

The host and his son where wonderful. They were kind and brought us our breakfast for the next day as well as a little celebration treat for New Years. They were super friendly and also very responsive. We hope to come again for a longer time.

Wifi didn't work for us, but it's not a big deal.

We called the hotel 30mins before arrival (as instructed) and the host gave clear instructions on where to turn and meet him (the google instructions are not too accurate). He met us at one of the small roads leading to the hotel and drove with us to our cabin. The breakfast was prepared ahead of time so that we can have it anytime we want. The host explained to us how things worked, which was useful especially for the sauna and fireplace. The room was very well insulated and warm even without the sauna and fireplace (and of course even warmer afterwards). There were clear view of the lake (it was frozen when we were there and the area was covered with snow - bring your snow boots if you wish to take a walk). The sauna was quite small (suitable for 2 pax). Rooms are clean and basic. Overall very good stay.

Comfortable cottages with sea view. Equipped with everything you need. Big clothes dryer in the bathroom (really useful with kids in winter time), inhouse sauna (highlight). Very nice and helpful host. Nice breakfast. Good heating, parking places have power outlets for the car.

That was one of the best locations of the last 200 appartments we had. It was the perfect stay! The cabin ist enourmos spacious, spotless clean and the beds were very comfortable. The Sauna was the perfect end of a rainy and cold day. We loved to use the fully equipped kitchen to make our dinner and to use the seating set on the nice terrace with a view to the Sea! The landlord was very hospitable, nice, a lovely man to chat about Finland and stuff and helpful in every way. Thank you! We wonder how they will prepare breakfast, because there is no reception, only the cabins in a row. But (!) the lovely guy brought us a rich breakfast plate with everything you could wish for. What a great surprise!

Tidy, nice place with all necessary equipment, very kind and helpful host, breakfast brought to the cottage was more than you could expect. Warming up in the sauna finalized our day. Advices to hunt Aurora helped us to see that magical view :) Thank you!

The cottages are clean, warm, nicely furnished, really well equiped, close to the beach. The sauna with the view was amazing. Ari is also a wonderfull host, he even open the cottage for us at 3 am. We can taste every morning different piece of finnish breakfast things. Everything was just perfect!

That I only booked 2 nights...

Absolutely everything! The hosts are the most warm welcoming people I've met and as I was arriving by train to Kemi they arranged everything for picking me up and dropping me back at the train station. The cottages are great and super comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing time. This is the perfect place for unwind! As promised, I will come back but not as solo traveler! See you soon!
