There fact that there is no public transportation from/to airport makes it costly and inconvenient for someone who doesn’t have car.

Helpful staff. Cute cottages at different sizes. Clean bathroom and shower. Beautiful nature. There is a common kitchen for those who wanna prepare simple meals. They have their restaurant with reasonable prices. There is no other place close by to buy food.

Nothing to say- all perfect compared to remote area.

We loved our stayed here. It is a beautiful location. All around nature and situated just beside the road. Busy stop is beside the hotel with just few steps. We reached late at the night with the last bus from Rovaniemi city. Owner kept the room key outside of the reception door and easy to checkin. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. When we reached there, the whole place is covered with snow ❄️ that was so mesmerising for us. Morning views is so beautiful with snow everywhere. Cabins are warm and comfortable. It has a restaurant and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner until 7pm. We did our breakfast and dinner for our whole stay here. If you are lucky you can see northern lights here, just you need your eyes up. Restaurant has common bathroom, kitchen and showers. It’s opened for 24/7. There is a hike trail nearby it. You need to ask it at the reception. We did it and the trail was covered with snow and snowing in between our hiking. We were able to meet and talked with local people when we were returning from our hiking. It was nice to know little more about the locals. You can roam around nearby places if you have car else there are limited and less frequency public buses to Ivalo town and Saariselka. FYI- we travelled by public bus from Rovaniemi city to here.

The location of the campsite is not ideal if you come without a car. It is a ~4 km walk to the centre of Ivalo where the closest supermarket is located. There is sadly no oven in the public kitchen. The windows of the cabins are quite small and cannot be opened. One windows had a crack in the corner. It is a bit loud, because the road is very close by. The offered activities are quite expensive.

This campsite is located in a beautiful forest directly at the Ivalo River. In winter it is all frozen over so you can take a nice walk on the river or watch the Aurora from there. There is a bus stop with some daily departures to Rovaniemi or further north right at the campsite. The reception includes a restaurant with good food for a decent price. They also offer a breakfast buffet. You can also rent bikes in the summer or sleds in the winter for free from here. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The common building has spacious and clean toilets and showers. The kitchen is relatively small but well equipped. The cabins are simply furnished but very cozy.

kitchen is pretty small but has everything it needs (except for a towel). There was a small gap between the door and the floor in our cottage which made the room really cold, and the radiator wasn’t heating very well, yet we still were confortable in the room and had a pleasant stay.

We have had some problem with the door that has a different system to close with the padlock. To maintain the possibility of closing and opening, we put the key in the padlock so we could enter and open. This happened to us because when we went to the bathroom we had to open it with a glove and it was complicated for us. However, everything was great, how well it was organized and how clean we found everything.

Sadly all facilities are in another building, so for everything else you have to go outside, I was there when it was -12 outside, The bedsheets you also have to order separately.

The cabin itself was quite comfortable, I could spot the aurora from right next to my cabin, for the really cold days there is an extra heater.

It's a cozy and really gorgeous place. Matti and his crew/family is extremely friendly and more than helpful. The food is very good and the Finnish pancake in the morning was delicious. You can enjoy a lot of activities in the surrounding and there is also a supermarket nearby. I've had a great overnight. Thanks for everything! See you... :-D

It's located near by river, but also the main road heading to Ivalo. It was sometimes noisy.

We were accommodated in a small wooden cabin which I appreciate. The cabin was clean and equipped by a small refrigerator, microwave or electric kettle. The staff was kind and they explained to us everything needed. There is a restaurant where you can get draft beer and something to eat like burger, sandwich or fries. The space near by river is great for chilling and observing Aurora.

It's next to the big road so traffic can be quite noisy. The area itself works well but isn't anything inspiring. Most importantly, the mosquito net in front of the window would need to be changed as it had many holes.

Cheap and warm cottage, tiny but well equipped with fridge, micro, water boiler and even a coffee maker! The mattresses were very thin but clean. Since our last visit 4 years ago they have renovated or rather rebuilt the common facilities totally, so super clean and new kitchen, toilets and showers! Staff is very welcoming and friendly. We only stayed over ad-hoc so did not use any other services such as the restaurant, there were a lot of options for possible activities.

Like everything in Finland, it was more expensive than it is worth, but that is a national issue rather than one specific to this place, which was relatively affordable by comparison. They offer pretty good on-site burgers but there is nothing else nearby.

There needs to be year round sauna facilites. I would have had a sauna every evening is you had offered it.

A great stay in a small cabin in the snow, there is a fridge, microwave and kettle in the hut. THe heaters in the hut are more than enough to make sure you dont get cold even when it drops below -15C outside. You need to go to the main facilities building to cook, get water, shower etc but it is just next door.

No change of air in the cabin. Extra fees for many things. Hard to reach and hard to get to the airport from there.

Everything was clean and functional. Free wi-fi. Nice place. Great staff! They were happy to answer all my questions, helped me get a taxi and were pretty quick to respond to e-mails.

Bunk beds are really uncomfortable in upper deck. It's probably suitable for children or small people.

Accomodation Is clean, equipment of room ( electric kettle, microwave) and shared kitchen ( stove, pots, dishes) was fine. Staff was very helpful.
