Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The wasn't cleaned very well during my stay- after 5 nights there was alot of dust. There was no kettle for warm water or tea.
It was perfect as a business hotel. The breakfast was good and the restaurant very handy

Long queue while checking in and room was not available at mentioned time.
Superb location if you are travelling by train or attending any events at the Nokia Arena. Wonderful breakfast.

Room heater increases the temperature only 2° Celsius and it was suppose to be in 22° C to increase to 24° C, but it was in 20° C, so it was cold inside and increasing the heater it took so long to change the room temperature.
Very Good Location, few minutes from train station, close to the main street with good restaurants. Room with good space, clean and comfortable bed. Bathroom with underfloor heating and with all devices included (hairdryer, etc)

Room service is terrible, changed towels and did nothing else, so you come back to a dirty room. That is way below expectations. Coffee is bad. Gym too small. Twin beds make up a double, which is not comfortable. Also, it gets very cold from large windows, heating doesn't help much.
Good location. Very good breakfast, although coffee is quite bad. Sauna ok, gym small (3 people is a crowd).

Scandic station and Scandic city are a bit confusing which is which. Scandic city is right across from the train station and station is up tge road a bit. Also morning guy was quite rude and unpleasant.
Right in the city close to everything with indoor parking.

Shower too spartan,towels too thin.Also when you take out the key card from the socket the lights are turned off straight away and you find yourself trying to find a way out in darkness.

I wished the sauna was open for a longer time in the morning (now closed at 9am already so we couldn't use it).
We landed at 1am and it was nice to be welcomed by the friendly staff and quick check in after a long travel day. The breakfast is fantastic, beds are comfortable.

Location is awful. There is no place to leave car to take out luggage. Site said that there is parking available but actually no place was offered as parking house was full. Ugly breakfast area, when to come around 10.00, lots of uncleaned tables full of leftovers.
Room quite ok, however walls need new paint or something. Looking old.

The in-house restaurant was poor for dinner (fish too raw, wine warm, and desert almost inedible). The room was quite small for a ‘family’ sized room.
Room was clean, central location, and breakfast had quality options.

I was staying in the bunk bed and it wasn't really comfortable. The 2 main beds were separated when we would have needed them close. Very small bathroom and shower area, that makes the water spread all around the bathroom during shower. The lower part of the shower window a bit black. Breakfast area very loud due to the high veranda and all tables placed in a very factory style that breaks the charm and coziness. I wouldn't mind those details if it wasn't a 4 star hotel. But the expectations were high and weren't fully met. It still is a great place to stay.
Fantastic staff from before arrival till departure Really nice facilities in general. Fancy shower head. Great and tasty choice for breakfast. Perfect noise isolation.

Price was a bit high really considering what you get. That said, all hotels in Finland seem expensive compared to the rest of Europe.
Great location right by the train station, very clean with friendly staff and great breakfast. Overall very pleased with it as a decent business hotel.

Amazing sauna/gym facilities on the lower level and its central location made this hotel experience 5 star in my opinion. Breakfast was a nice big spread with lots of options. Highly recommend this hotel if staying in Helsinki metro area. Staff were very accommodating with luggage storage as well.
