The 1933 restaurant could also offer local dishes such as lamb.

Spacious, warm, quiet and clean room. Varied and good breakfast with a view. Parking the car is effortless. Everything worked and the service was uncomplicated

On the top of the hill. With awersome Torshavn landscape view. Looking from my room window was fantastic. I really enjoyed my stay in Forroyar.

Location is just outside of town, could hear the people upstairs a bit.

Amazing breakfast buffet overlooking the city. Lobby area is a great hangout space. Free laundry on site was a bonus when travelling.

Paper thin pillows, maybe being from Britain we are in the minority with this, otherwise bed was really comfortable. Everyplace we stayed had the same type of pillow to be fair

Brilliant views, great breakfast, nice walk down to the city, quite steep but still nice the hotel had a path! Large room, chrome cast built in with tv so can watch a film on your favourite steaming service should you want to. Window open had a lovely fresh breeze, Only stayed one night so cant comment on anything else. Coffee machine, mini fridge with free water was nice!

It is a big hotel and all rooms are spread across 2 levels of long corridors. Not sure why it was designed in a way that there is no lift for guests and their suitcases. Do guests usually come without suitcases or they expect all guests are able to lift their suitcases to walk the stairs? There was a lift for staff use - and staff said we can use it for our luggages but it sounded like they are doing us a favour which is weird. Hotels like this should have a lift for guests and their suitcases even though it is not high storey building. And the hotel only has one restaurant - the Ruts. It was closed for holiday when we stayed but we were not informed ahead of time until we found out ourselves during breakfast. I cannot believe a hotel’s only restaurant is closed during holiday season without any back up plan. They do have a cafe but only offers burgers, salmon and chips and they have loads of guests during August. There should be a back up plan for the restaurant during holiday season instead of closing it.

Well designed. Clean and well equipped. Location is up the hills - could have great views but not in bad weather. Breakfast was great - both food and view. Complementary self service laundry is great.

The geographic location tends towards driving in dangerous fog on mountain roads. The annex was fussy to stay in with no elevator. Shower a closet connected to the room. Overpriced.

    I liked the gym.

The main hotel where breakfast is served in the second floor restaurant doesn’t have elevators & looks dated & a little shabby.

The sheep outside our window/door & all around the property. The annex we were in has been newly remodeled & was quite comfortable.

Room was small with sink behind entrance door. Not entirely clear room was in an annexe some 200m from main entrance. With Faroesweather got very wet just walking to breakfast. Breakfast was good but suffered from usual big hotel buffet breakfast the so called hot food mostly lukewarm.

Staff all helpful. Views and style.

It's a 20 minute walk from the harbour and I suppose about the same time by car. View from the hotel is (therefor) great, so is the breakfast and recently the hotel has a superb restaurant ('Ruts') serving seafood and great vegetarian food. And the latter is rare on the Faroe Islands! Hotel is one of the older hotels but it's well kept. Only the bathroom shows slight signs of use. Stayed in this hotel a couple of times. First time was in 2015.

the window of our room didn’t close fully and there was always a crack letting wind in. it wasn’t a deal breaker for us but these things should be fixed. the Booking website advertised this as a “king size bed” but after the reservation the hotel informs that ALL beds are made up of 2 individual mattresses put together - false advertising here, not sure who to blame, the hotel or Booking.

it’s a good location, not to far in the centre of the city but close enough to drive every day. comfy beds and clean bathrooms. a great view of the city although the fog sometimes covered it. helpful staff and good breakfast with a wide variety of food. big parking space
