Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe apartment style room was ideal for us a family although there was no kettle, but fortunately we brought our own. The kitchenette should really include something as basic as a kettle! A random member of staff unlocked our door and walked in on us without explanation. There was a bell but she didn't ring it, just unlocked the door with her key. She didn't speak English and my little French wasn't enough to establish what the hell she was doing in our room. That said, I didn't know she was staff until she left and I went to Reception to enquire. It was all a bit cloak and dagger with no real explanation or apology from the receptionist. We put a table in front of our hotel door while we were sleeping in case it happened again.
The location is absolutely brilliant. You can walk to the Cathedral in a few minutes and there are lots of bars and restaurants around that area.

United KingdomThe carpet and bathrooms need refurbishment. There was a deeply unpleasant smell in the bathroom, that thankfully disappeared when the shower was run.

United KingdomThere was some noise from the upstairs rooms uou could here chairs being scrapped across the floor. All floors have hard durfaces in the rooms which mean that they are clean but noise does travel. However this would not stop us staying here again.
Staff were very helpful and curious, even when some spoke very little English and we French. But we persevered 😁. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Plenty of storage and well equipped for a longer stY. We stayed 2 nights, 1 each way in our travels to South West France. Location was superb. We will be staying here again. Perfect for our family of 5 plus 🐕.

NetherlandsThe rooms are old in terms of interior and shower. For example, he can use a new carpet, curtains and especially a better shower head (and water pressure). In terms of hygiene, it's okay, but because the interior is no longer fresh, you don't have that impression... And besides, it doesn't match the ad photos. As a result, the hotel/room as a whole is disappointing.
Location and parking (on the street but free).

United KingdomWe arrived to an intimidating reception. The 2 woman on reception started sniggering and laughing. When I asked them what they found funny, they disappeared backstage to share their joke so I may never know what it is about me that caused such a reaction. I checked to see if I had grown horns! A pleasant young man then came to check us in. The room my friend and I were given was not as depicted on the website. At no point was I told that 2 double beds would be one double and a pull down sofa in the kitchen, next to a fridge that talked all night. The mechanics of this bed creaked with every turn. The mattress, thin. The pillows lumpy. The dining area, so beautifully depicted online, was a table with one chair (no room for two) placed next to the toilet. This had to be moved into the living space but since we mostly ate out, we didn't bother.. I did ask for a change of room but the only one available was no better. I have stayed at Appart'City Gare Cathedrale on several occasions and accept that its bland functionality and soulless personality is offset by its price and its closeness to Amiens' centre, but it has really taken a slide downhill towards being depressing and shabby. There is one definite upside, in that the breakfast was exceptionally good value for money with a wide choice of food. Sorry Appart'City but my expectations of the warm welcome I have received in the past from the delightful Emily and her team was dashed from the moment I stepped into reception.
Location is absolutely spot-on.
