Popped over for the rugby and stayed with 2 friends. Hotel was very clean. Lovely welcome and really well situated, close to bars and restaurants. Everywhere is walkable. Old fashioned and charming building. I would return. The double rooms did look snug so upgrade advisable if you like some space.

The room we had was what I would describe as an adequate size and due to the nature and size of the windows/double glazing arrangements it was difficult to get fresh air into the room.

The staff were superb and the ambience of the hotel was first class. We could not fault the service we received over the four nights we stayed.

We should have sorted one matter out - the bed was very hot - retained heat - possibly due to a layer near the top of the mattress. This made it uncomfortable to sleep on. We are kicking ourselves for not raising this issue.

Above all else the staff were brilliant. Incredibly helpful - from chasing our delayed luggage, to recommending restaurants, to guidance on public transport. It was utterly refreshing to receive such great service. Look after them well - they are a credit to you.

First night we were in a room with a lot of outside noise. Staff were responsive and relocated us to a room On a higher floor and on the other side of the hotel. Our stay was very good from then on.

It would be great if there is a fitness gym.

We like the whole staff team at your hotel, we felt it's a hotel with humanity. The whole team included the staff at the front desk, breakfast room and the bar was professional. What we would like to highlight is the housekeeping: my fiancée lost a small notebook in the room, your housekeeping supervisor and her staff put their efforts in finding for us in a professional way. Overall, we felt that each of your staff knows their positions and roles to serve. They carefully listened to our needs without asking us to repeat or clarify, and they did their jobs well. About the view, the room view is excellent where we could see the basilica. Breakfast was good and we especially liked the fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread selection and warm omelettes.

Staff, location, bathroom and bed were all fantastic! The bathroom was one of the biggest I’ve had at a hotel in Europe. Location was close to most everything we wanted to see and do. Free hot chocolate in the lobby was a great touch during the holidays

The staff were the most hospitable, friendly and helpful that we’ve come across in a long time. They give 110% to make sure guests have everything they need. We were travelling with our one year old daughter and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The rooms are large and comfortable, the breakfast is generous, and the bar is luxurious and peaceful. 10/10.

Actually I would not change anything! Especially the smell of oud which oozed from special burners at the reception and elsewhere, made the place not just look, but also smell like a 6-star hotle. We were astonished! Bravo!

One of the best breakfasts amongst all 5-star hotels I have been! Actually, there was nothing missing, service was amazing, coffee smelled like paradise, everything was extra fresh, and the croissants.... oh the croissants....! Well done to the chef and the staff!
