Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNo hooks anywhere to hang up wet towels etc. the rooms were so small it was difficult to move and there was no space for a suitcase. The cleaning was halfhearted. It had not been cleaned under the bed for a long time.
Location was great and the staff was phenomenal.

CyprusThe room and its bathroom was tiny to be honest, also the lift is tiny but then again it's Paris, and it's to be expected. There is not a huge breakfast selection, so I would suggest not booking with a breakfast option and instead it is better to go out for eating because the hotel is surrounded by little cafes which are wonderful.
The staff is wonderful, very attentive and kind. The hotel is a nice little place, it is clean as well. We were surrounded by nice cafes and bars so just walking around at night was lovely, with a quite lively surrounding. I would book it again for a short stay, as for a longer stay I think I need more space.

NetherlandsLooking for a well priced hotel in Paris is always a chore which is why Hotel Apolonia Paris Montmartre is something to be commended for. The rooms are clean, has air-conditioning, and a modern bath. It is near two metro stations, has a lot of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Sacre Cour is also walking distance as well.

The location is great, the staff is friendly though a tad disorganized. Like most Paris rooms, it's small, but confortable enough.

United KingdomBathroom is very small. There was a constantly flashing light in the ceiling lights. I didn’t get round to reporting it , I am sure they would have fixed it if I had asked.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and modern. Bathroom very clean and smart. Bed comfortable . Only 3-4 minutes walk from metro. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. About10 minutes walk to Sacré Cœur. Good green attributes, movement activated lights, water dispenser with refillable bottles. Lift so no stairs if on one of the higher floors.

New ZealandThe room and our bathroom was small, but in saying that, the room was a steal so we were happy!
The staff were amazing and the hotel was immaculately clean. The complimentary coffee machine in the foyer was a great touch. The foyer area was a nice space to relax. Location was great too. Nice and handy to the tube.

HungaryDoor slammers in the morning & the room was a little small even for a single room although that's probably the same all over Paris.

CroatiaThe room gets very cold very fast, and there are no radiators, only AC. I did not like having to keep the AC on during the night.
Great value for money. It is located in a nice neighbourhood and very close to the metro station. The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean.

DenmarkThe elevator and stairs. The elevator was kind of small and once didn't stop at our floor. And the stairs are pretty steep.
Everything, it's clean, super pretty, the staff was great, incredibly comfortable, plus the hotel is located really close to a metro or different bus stops so it's easy to get around.

IrelandThe room was very small but quite adequate. The bathroom was too small as I am quite a big person.
The location was good with a metro only 300m away and the lobby area was lovely. Staff were very helpful. The hotel was very clean. By Paris standards it was quite good value. I love 3 star hotels because as they are very personal and the staff tend to interact very well. The manager was a very experienced hotel manager and tried to warn me (and many others) about the Booking.com fraud that is active at the moment. Unfortunately it was too late for me.

United States of AmericaWish the room was a bit bigger. It was difficult for two people to move around it without bumping into each other.
The hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants around it. We liked the accessibilities to train and buses to go to other parts of the city. Nice assortment of free coffee provided to guests.

Excellent location! Very clean, and the staff were very helpful and nice. Top tip: ask for a room on the first floor and you have access to a shared balcony area. This was essential for us as the room itself was so small.
