1stly I called the hotel to ask for a room with a balcony and bathtub and get some information about the surroundings but all the night reception could say was "I don't know and not possible". 2ndly, when we arrived until our departure, the receptionist was very pleasant but reminded seated on every interaction, I am a receptionist manager, so I found this to be very disrespectful to guests. And the last little bit, the kettle in our room works, but the lid is broken, and the steam almost burned me. The area is horrible not because of the road works but because, the taxi driver told us not to venture out after 9pm and never walk alone, not to walk to anyways as all the attractions are an hour walk away. Aside from our appointment, we stayed in because I was afraid of the area. When I look out thé window, all I see is police surveying the area or idlers hanging about. The room is so nice but I can't return nor recommend because of the location.

I only stayed for 1 night and wouldn't stay for any longer if I ever returned due to the local area. The area was quite run down and dirty. There are no good places to eat or shop nearby.

Walking distance (20 mins) to Gare du Nord station, and close to other metro stops. Clean comfortable room. Friendly staff and decent breakfast.

The area around the hotel is rough especially once you reach the main road and it is particulary 'lively' with dubious characters and gangs hanging around after darkness. Breakfast choice was limited with just srambled egg as the only hot dish.

The staff were friendly and helpful, it was very clean and tidy and the rooms were spacious. The bathroom was nice and modern. The hotel is within 15 minutes walk from Gare du Nord and Gare du Est railway stations.

it is a north part of Paris, near the rail way station - you need to be prepared to some specific around the hotel area- not very clean on the streets, homeless people sleeping there, strange people selling cigarettes or whatever

It's a small thing but in the rooms I've stayed only one side of the bed had access to the main lights, and had a usb charging port.

Third time staying here because I like this hotel so much. The staff are friendly, helpful and polite. The rooms are really nice, furnishing are in perfect condition and linen and towels are high quality. The atmosphere feels really peaceful despite being 2 minutes away from a metro station and 10 minutes from Gare du Nord. Always spotlessly clean. Appreciate that they provide a kettle and hot drink options. When going out, you leave your key at the desk, which is staffed 24h, and pick it back up when you get back - I find this really convenient and a relief to not have to worry about misplacing a key when I'm out.

The room was very small to the point where we couldn't open our suitcase fully. The bathroom floor became flooded during a shower so best not to leave anything on the floor, but they replenished all towels used for mopping up. A discrete mop would have been handy. Breakfast was nice, but a bit overpriced for what was offered. The location of the hotel is in a less desirable neighborhood (our fault for not doing our homework) which meant that there weren't many nice restaurants or places to have a glass of wine in the evening and was a little bit intimidating after dark.

The staff were super friendly and informative, the decor was modern and looked recently refurbished, the bed was really comfortable, the shower was powerful and the mirror lighting in the bathroom and bedroom was amazing. Proximity to the metro and train station was very good. There was a lot of work going on around the hotel during our stay but the windows are new and the noise wasn't too disruptive.

The neighborhood is close to Gare du Nord but is not one you want to hang out in.

First, the positive. The room was small, but comfortable and clean and quiet. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The staff was extremely helpful. For the price in Paris, this was a good deal, but we did find the neighborhood one we wanted to wander in. However, we were able to walk to the Canal St. Martin and from there through the Marais to tne centre.

The breakfast was nice, but the food options were quite small for the cost of it. The location was great during the day, not a long walk into the main part of the city, but the area was a little intimidating in the later hours of the evening.

The room was modern and very clean. Lots of power outlets and all earthed which was great and enabled me to work from the room effectively. The bathroom was really nice and the shower was great.

Room clean and the right size. Staff friendly and very helpful and available. A comfortable place to return to to each evening. Staff were very tolerant of the building works in progress and remained uncomplaining throughout. Lift very quiet; fully functional. Real keys to the room!

Place seems to be under refurbishment at the time of visiting, meaning noise throughout the day and in early morning -- it is a shame this was not said prior to arrival. Slightly outdated decor

Unfortunately the location wasn't great, very loud in the evenings outside. Rubbish around the streets and had building work going on around the hotel.

The hotel was undergoing renovation works and was a bit grubby and dusty. Couldn't get the aircon to work the first night but that was rectified for the following two nights and the room wasn't cleaned the second day. The road was all dug up outside and when we arrived back last night there was a huge poo on the doorstep. There was no blinds on the bathroom window just etched glass and a glass door between bathroom and bedroom, this meant the room was flooded with light early in the morning. None of this aided a restfull night's sleep.

Rooms seemed new and equipped modernly. The shower was nice the bed comfortable and clean. Breakfast although a little cramped was excellent and very good value.

Easily accessible from Gare du Nord. (10 minutes walk). The room was a decent size for Paris city and the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. All the rooms and bathrooms in the hotel have been refurbished recently, in time for the Paris Olympics. The reception was disappointing (and the approach to the hotel was somewhat alarming at first sight) as this is the last area to be refurbished, but it will be fine when finished. Breakfast was good, too, and nicely served in the cellar which has also been refurbished. The staff are helpful and friendly. 2 Metro stations within easy distance. All in all this hotel fitted our requirements.
