Excellent stay in Paris: friendly staff, central location, pleasant room size and decoration, comfortable bed, nice breakfast with quality pastries, pleasant breakfast room under glass ceiling. Excellent value for money. We shall return.

The refrigerator (great) radiated heat into the safe, which made me fear for my electronics.

While not a glamorous or stylish hotel, I can strongly recommend it. First of all, the location could hardly be better. Secondly, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Sure- the rooms are smallish, but my window opened onto a view of a classic St. Germain street! Outstanding value: I will happily return!

The stairs to the up to the bedroom are a little steep for me. It’s a little noisy when the bars close but the location makes up for it!!

The location is amazing!! Right off the main drag and a short way(less than 5 minutes) to the Place de Comedie!! Awesome shopping in the neighborhood!!

We had a room on the first floor on the street side. If I came back again, I would ask for a courtyard room or one on an upper floor as the street lighting on the side of the building was intrusive. With the windows open, the street was noisy at times.

The room was large, clean and pleasingly decorated. For two women in twin beds it was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast offered everything we could ask for and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were in the city to see an exhibit at the Musee d'Orsay, which was just a couple of blocks away - the location couldn't have been better.

Extremely clean room, the staff was very professional and welcoming. The location was perfect and very safe. Its near Louvre and Notredame. Easy access to metro to visit other touristy spots. So many restaurants and cafes near by.

Very nice hotel with all necessary properties. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable to recover from a long day of work (or walking around Paris). The hotel exceeded my expectations! Before that, I stayed there many years ago in a small single room overlooking the courtyard, at the atelier of a "fashion house". I really wanted to come back. This time the room had a veranda. Very clean and modern. The veranda had a view of the Eiffel Tower. It is quiet in the very "heart" of Paris. The staff is wonderful! They responded very quickly and carefully to small requests. Special thanks to Nicolet, who hosted us!

Really no complaints. It was perfect for what we needed!

The location was perfect for the outings we planned. There were lots of shops, cafes, and restaurants within walking distance. Metro station, St. Germaine, was very close to hotel. Every employee we encountered was very friendly and front desk was patient with our French and very eager and helpful to answer our questions! The beds were comfortable and our room was spacious, 2 twins. Breakfast was served every morning, not complimentary. Hotel was decorated nicely for Christmas and gave off an old charm feel. Would definitely stay there again when we return!

ROOM: comfy bed, standard Paris size room (they give you the measurements so no surprise there). they do have larger rooms available. My room was quiet and looked out onto an inner courtyard. It was very clean. The standard room that we originally booked was right on top of the staircase, so we thought it could be noisy, but we asked if they had another room available and they were so kind to change it to another one.

It was our second time at Hotel Universite and we love it. It's in the heart of Saint Germain des Pres, easily walkable to the major attractions and restaurants. The neighborhood is totally safe and chic. The rooms are comfy. The staff is great, especially Nicoletta at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, she deserves a raise! Thank you so much for this great stay!
