Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandYou've seen the stairwell in multiple French movies, spiralling upwards to eternity. It's better to travel light when tackling the stairs to your room.
Nice two-star hotel within walking distance of Nantes railway station. You can literally walk out of the station, straight to the hotel. The staff members are friendly, helpful and very welcoming. There are plenty of hospitality options near the hotel. It is located on rue Maréchal Joffre, a section of which is closed off in the evening to facilitate outdoor dining. The Jardin des Plantes opposite the railway station is an oasis of calm in the centre of Nantes.

FranceBreakfast could be improved by adding some cheese or protein and closer to the price. Without it, I find it a bit expensive. Adding a light for the table would be a welcome addition.
My room, location in building and bed were comfortable. A fan was provided in the room was well-appreciated & well-used as it was a warm night even with the window opened.

United KingdomThe smell. It was mentioned in other reviews. I think it was coming from the toilet. We made sure that the bathroom door was shut. It was also stuffy, but luckily it wasn't hot outside, so we were able to sleep with the windows shut. It would be impossible to sleep with the windows opened though as our room faced main road and was noisy till late. Those two issues didn't spoiled out holiday. For 2 stars hotel did really good
The Hotel is lovely, quirky, and answered our purpose beautifully. My daughter and I came for a weekend stay to explore the area. Train Station, But to the airport, city center - everything is very close to it. We stayed for 3 nights, the room was spacious, was cleaned every day, the bed is comfortable. Botanical garden 2 min away, other main attractions within walking distance. There was a little train on the square in front of Peter and Paul cathedral, which was taking you around the center and main city sights. We had very late arrival due to our flight been delayed, around 23.30, the gentleman at the reception waited for us and gave us detailed instructions about everything we needed. Thank you very much for that. We didn't order breakfast, but I had a look at it out of interest and it was decent, rolls, jam, fruit, coffee. View was beautiful, we were on the 3d floor. We were there only for sleep, it provided us good base. Quite happy with that.

FranceThe WiFi did not work well for me at all.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is excellent. There is no air conditioning but a fan is provided. Although I was on a street room, I had no problems with noise due to the double windows.

United KingdomThe position of the property is not ideal for travellers with transport. There is only parking for 2 small vehicles at the back of the hotel. I was fortunate to be able to park in one of the spaces but was very surprised at being charged.
On appearance from the outside I was very concerned on arrival. It looked very run down. The reception and eating area was quite pleasant until you climbed the old staircase which needed updating. However this Hotel has obviously undergone some refurbishment and I was impressed with the bedroom and en-suite area. Overall, It was OK for a few nights stay.

United KingdomThe street that the hotel is in very lively, so to cut down the noise we were given a room on the 4th floor. There is no lift and it was a long way up the stairs, although the gentleman on reception did offer to carry our cases. As it was hot we had the window open, our choice, there was a fan, so it was still very noisy. I would stay here again without hesitation but would ask for a room on the first floor as the climb up the stairs bothered me more than the noise.
The staff were lovely. Very helpful and even stayed on late so we could check in after 11pm as we had trouble with our trains. Very clean. Good size room and comfortable bed. It was an easy 10 minute walk from the station and about the same distance from the cathedral and shops in the centre of town. We found the location excellent.

SwedenThe street outside of the windows was a bit loud at night, but so is most of larger cities in France...
It was very close to beautiful parts of the city. The church outside of the window can be perceived as an issue by some, but we loved it, it was a gorgeous sight!
