Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Super central location that was easy to reach by public transport, lots of restaurants, shops, cafes etc. nearby. Nice clean room, friendly staff. You can leave your luggage at the property if you travel back home in the evening.

Jacuzzi in the room doesn't work past 10pm. 35 euros per night for the parking: it would have been nice to have been given a code to enter rather than have to pick up the parking fob and return to front desk every time to open/close garage doors.
Junior suite room excellent value for money, good location. Parking on site. Comfy extra large bed, excellent pillows (this is important!), good staff.

The breakfast croissants and buns are exceptionally tasty! Together with the 30-second-walk to the Metro/RER station, this is my hotel-of-choice in Paris. Local staff is also super friendly and make you feel at home.

The hotel is located right by one of the main line train stations. The bath in the room was a luxury for tired bodies after long days of exploring. Comfy bed and ample space in the room.

I didn’t like that you have to pay parking it should be included with your reservation. And the parking fee per day is expensive. I didn’t like that I was not told there was a daily fee.
Location was perfect! Coffee shops, pharmacy and restaurants, subway station close by. Rooms are fine but in the pictures look bigger.

The rooms are not well sound-insulated, so if you are a light sleeper, this might not be for you. It is not a noisy party hotel by any means but be aware.
I have stayed at hotel du Midi several times. It is a no nonsense hotel with everything you need but not much more and the price is good.

Hotel is outdated.
One minute from Orly Bus and metro/ RER. Staff is extremely helpful and responsive. Tons of restaurants around, safe area.

Car park was next door and very tight/ steep, also had to run in and grab the door fob to get into the parking each time you left (couldn't take it with you). First time abroad so I didn't know what to expect, but I thought the breakfast was a little overpriced.

The rooms were far too hot. Sweltering. There was no way to cool it down. Could open window but then too noisy.
Location was great. Easy to walk to places or use the buses or trains. Good places to eat nearby as well.

It's about a 30 min walk. from the main attractions Be on time if you want to order breakfast the next morning.
Last minute rebooking due to a security issue at another hotel, very friendly staff and very comfortable rooms located right near the Montparnasse station.

cleanliness of the carpet and bathroom not great, not very sound proofed when the neighbourgs guest arrive late at night.
Excellent welcoming staff, great location easy access to metro, good choice for a short break in Paris between Place d'Italie and Montparnasse

I did not like the fact that we get served the SAME breakfast everyday. We stayed for 4 days and after 2 days we had enough of having the same breakfast. Management should maybe consider offering a slight varied breakfast for those staying more than 2 days. I don’t think it was stipulated in the booking that it would be a fixed breakfast. Hotel provides paper cups only but we like actual cups. We did however obtain some from reception.
Great location, train station just across the road. We were on the 5th floor which offers a great view of the area. Plenty of restaurants nearby and Monoprix a few walks away for all your grocery shopping. Plenty of other shops too including Yves Rocher. We would like to thank Rosy (Front Desk) who helped us tremendously on everything. Merci Rosy.

Value for money wise it was a little expensive. The rooms are small but hey it is Paris.
Hotel had a very good location right next to Metro and bus services to Orly which is why we picked it. It was an easy flat and safe walk into the CBD. The little cafe next door was good value for breakfast (except one day the staff smoked right next to our table). Bathroom was a good size and well appointed.
