The receptionist was unable to find our booking (despite having the correct spelling for our name) after about 3 minutes, which felt like an hour, I found the booking confirmation on my phone when he was then able find it instantly. There was no lift. The room, whilst pleasant enough, was very, very small.

The location was good, the room was pleasantly furnished and decorated.

There was a plumbing problem which was quite significant; the staff were helpful, and we also have received a refund on the room price. Our complaint was handled swiftly and with good grace. We very much appreciated this!

this is budget lodging, and overall a nice stay, but I would have liked a little bit more amenities - mainly coffee in the room (even if just packets of instant coffee and a hot water boiler), and nicer soap

great location in lovely old building. the man working at the front desk went above the call of duty in his kindness and helpfulness when I arrived very late at night after having luggage issues at the airport

our room looked nothing like the photos on the website. perhaps if they put photos of the room at each price point we would have managed our expectations accordingly. our room was multicoloured, toilet was old and had a faint sewage smell. Also wifi was very slow. 3 flights of stairs to get to room with large bags was exhausting but I guess that s the experience of living in an older hotel. however from the photos I thought at least the hotel rooms would be remodelled but sadly it was misrepresented once again. This is my second time booking with booking.com based of reviews and photos but sadly have been disappointed.

We arrived late and very tired and had to climb three fights of stairs to our room which didn’t remotely resemble that in the booking.com photo. Despite the warm welcome from the receptionist we were a bit disappointed

The room was cool and comfortable even if the shower/ bathroom space was tiny. A safe space was found to store our Bromptons The professional attitude of the staff more than made up for our disappointment with the room. We had an excellent breakfast served in the light airy pleasantly decorated dining room and enjoyed sitting watching Parisian life pass by

if you’re travelling when it’s hot, there are no fans or air conditioning. The window backs onto other apartments so it gets warm.

Amazing staff, very friendly and fluent in English. Location was fantastic for exploring all parts of Paris and the room decor was lovely.

The bathroom was pretty small and the drain of the shower was not working well. The hair dryer was not very effective.

Location was exceptional! Staff was amazing! New look was very up to date and confortable!

The only thing I didn’t like was that there is no elevator in the property so you need to carry your bags up the stairs. Very convenient location.

We had to change our room because the first one was to little and to old. The last floor needs to be renewed.

The entry was really beautiful. The staff was careful and addressed all of our requests. It was close to the place where we had to take our train. Our second room was great.

Good concept but poor execution in vision of hotel. From pictures, it looks cute but in reality, when you’re there, it’s a bit dirty and warn out. The room advertised as superior in pictures is big and spacious, however, there are many “versions” of superior in the hotel and unfortunately we had a terribly small room. I was able to compare as we got two rooms and other was larger, as advertised. But the larger room was above the pizza store next door whose neon light sign was on until midnight. When I spoke to front desk about it, while super nice, was told to write an email to find a solution…. With the proximity and convenience of being near to the train station, comes noise which was expected but suspect in the summer it would be quite bad with people out and windows needing to be open for circulation. Didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, but cute set up but there are many Boulangeries nearby. Paying the extra 30-50 euros/night at nearby hotel may be worth it depending on what you value.

The staff were amazing and helpful, especially Mr Geoffroy. The hotel is literally two blocks from Gare de Lyon which makes train and bus access convenient.

The bathroom was not as clean as it should be and the shower drain was clogged, having to wait a long time in between showers so that the water drain

The location is premium. Close to Gare de Lyon and over the bridge to Gare d'Austerlitz. Good brasseries close by too. The staff are super friendly and attentive.

Size of room. And please don't leave old rag in shower. Soundproofing needed or fewer, bigger rooms.

Small room on top floor. VERY thin walls--heard neighbour conversations cleRly. Fortunately didn't talk after midnight. Breakfast was g good.
