Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Nothing. Compared to Paris hotels I have stayed in the past, this one was great.
Lovely helpful and professional staff; great choice of breakfast; convenient location - near popular areas, but not touristy; locals' cafes and restaurants nearby, while walkable to Eiffel Tower, Bois de Boulogne and Metro. I had not stayed in this area before, and really liked it. I would definitely choose the hotel again.

The shower is a bit temperamental and the keys need to be replaced by an electronic system ASAP as they are not fit for purpose. It’s 3 star, so you don’t expect everything to be perfect and, again, for the price these feel like minor complaints.
The location is fantastic, near multiple metro stops, a huge range of bars and restaurants and quiet at night. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful and for the price (we stayed in early February) it was fantastic value.

I only had one instance where upon checking in I gave my passport and just assuming that I spoke no french the old man said the the younger one that my photo looked like I should be in Alcatraz! I know Passport photo's aren't flattering and had I not been with my 13 year old daughter I would have played hell but chose to ignore the remark as not to taint our stay.
It was literally around the corner from the trocadero side of the Eiffel Tower and close to the River Cruises and walking distance of the arc de triumph. Metro access literally 2 minutes away plus plenty of restaurants and cafes close by. Hotel was lovely and warm and there was a supermarket a couple of doors down which was very handy. I would definitely stay again if I went back to Paris

When we came back from a day out at 3.45pm, our room hadnt been cleaned. In fact, the room was in the middle of being cleaned. It was a bit of a mess. Not sure why it took so long to clean.
Staff were generally friendly. Location was great. Right next to a metro station. They kept our bags post check-out. Nothing more I want to add.

Nothing, everything was as we expected
Really great location - a short walk down the road to the Trocadero and Eiffel Tower, lots of good restaurants around, and a metro stop close by. Staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rooms were simple, clean, but exactly what you need. Thanks for the stay!

There was nothing I have complaints about.
It was a very pleasant stay out of the bustle of traffic, but close to metro , restaurants .and shops. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. This is the first time staying at this arrondissement and it was within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and the Seine.

The location and the breakfasts were wonderful. Very competent staff. The room needed a chair and a small additional table; no place to put things or really sit. the bath was very modern & nice. A good value for all we did have; loved the quiet room!

It's Europe so rooms are smaller. Other than that, everything else was great.
The location was great; close to a metro line. One in our party had breakfast every day and really enjoyed it - especially the yogurt in the little jars. The staff were ALWAYS friendly and ready to help.

Room was small
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We do not speak French but they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The location is perfect to see the sights of Paris and shop.
