Reception man on checking out day was very rude to me and charged me €5 pp per night city tax. This was 3 times the normal city taxes which have been brought in for the Olympic year at Paris. They were not that amount on my booking.com paperwork. I don’t mind paying but it was the manner in which he explained it and was so rude saying we are not charging you the city is. I tried to explain my view that it would have been nice to have been informed by the hotel at check in or via booking com website instead of being charged at checkout by surprise.

The beds were not comfortable at all, so had a lot of trouble sleeping. They could at least stock up on pillows that don’t feel like rocks

Nothing bad, but we did not seek many services from the hotel, we were interested in the location for dining, sightseeing, and shopping (there are plenty of options around this hotel).

Great location to visit central Paris by foot. Hotel was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Small room but adequate for a short stay.

The walls between the rooms are very thin…but otherwise good!

It is very good value for money, I think like 300m from centre, it was clean (everyday they cleaned our room and made beds), the staff were very nice and helpful (we borrowed the bottle opener and we could leave bags after the check out), also the windows were very tight, we could sleep through the night and it is also near some good restaurants.

Location was central for Shops and notre dame cathedral. We took the train from CDG T2B to Châtelet–Les Halles. We had a family room. Double Bed - Probably queen size and seperate single bed. We were over for xmas short weekend break. Rooms were definitely warm, but needed to turn down heat or open window. But all ok. We didn't use the breakfast in the basement, although it probably is a good cheap option as we had breakfast elsewhere and paid more. The previous reviews set expectations on size of rooms. So not massize - but not issue. The beds are hard - so nothing i didn't expect. All room facilities were ok. We arrived at 10pm - no issues. Pay local Taxes on leaving.

The beds unfortunately were very uncomfortable. My group consisted of 4 adults and 1 child in 2 separate rooms (family room and double room). Unfortunately all of the adults woke up with sore backs as the beds are very hard. My toddler did toss and turn all night, but she did stay asleep. The pillows were also very stiff, but thankfully there were extra pillows in the closet that were softer.

The hotel was in a great location with food and shops nearby. Also, the train was easily accessible to get around. The staff was very nice and helpful, which is always an added bonus.

Everything was fine.

The location was fantastic. It was right on the corner of Rue de Rivoli at Hôtel de Ville and across the bridge from Notre Dame. Surrounded by the nightlife of the famous Le Marais district. Transport links were excellent. Though small, the room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Old Parisian hotels tend to have small rooms so it was exactly as expected. The staff were professional and not unfriendly.
