A couple of steps up to the entrance were a struggle with a heavy bag.

Very convenient for Gare de Lyon. Comfortable and welcoming, with some nice touches like free coffee in the afternoons and evenings, and a chilled water refill point. A lift up to the bedrooms made it easy with the luggage. Lots of places to eat nearby - we went to the one across the road. Good choice of breakfast items. A very handy overnight stop for passing through Paris - we would stay here again.

The only problem about the location is that there are a lot of homeless people in the area generally so if you are coming back home late at night you might be a bit afraid if you are not used to it generally, but in Paris there are a lot of homeless people across the whole city so it is not really a problem faced on this specific location.

Our choice was definitely value for money if we consider the fact that the location was perfect for us to go to the city center by metro(2 minutes by walking from the hotel there is a metro station). The staff was really friendly and whenever we needed an advice or recommendation about the city they were open for discussion. Also the cleaning ladies were really friendly.

Medium to small sized bathroom. Bed sheet from some kind of polyester which retains heat, therefore I sweated every night. Breakfast until 11 am but after 10:30 they don’t refill. Staff other than the receptionist don’t speak English

It would have been nice to get a cup of coffee first thing. We didn't order breakfast which would have had it included. We just would have liked to have had a hot drink before starting the next leg of our journey!

No shower curtain, so the bathroom is flooded. Toilet paper was a little dirty.

5 minutes walk from Gare de lyon station. Metro station is also conveniently located just a 1-minute walk away. I could always get a soft drink at the first floor, so there was no need to look for a supermarket when I came back to the hotel in the middle of the night. The rooms seemed a bit larger than other Ibis. Breakfast is stable quality by Ibis.

We had an early bus to catch so staff ordered us a taxi. It was late arriving and basically we were completely ripped off. There was already 18€ on the meter when we got in and the driver said this was because we were being charged from where he’d started his journey and this was the rule with taxis reserved by the hotel. We had a coach to catch and because he was late we had no option to get out and find another taxi or we may have missed our coach to London. We estimate our fare should have been about 10€ (15€ maximum). It was 31.50€ for a short journey to Bercy-Seine bus station, outrageous! If what the taxi driver said was true then the hotel staff should warn customers of this. If it’s not true the hotel needs to have a different taxi reservation system. If we had known we would have left the hotel ten minutes earlier, got a taxi ourselves and saved about 20€.
