Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaJames was an excellent host. We truly loved the BnB that he has created in Rocamadour! The local tips he gave made our visit much more fun. Don't miss the homemade breakfast - it's truly fabulous. A great spot for a night or two in Rocamadour. We would love to come back one day!

United States of AmericaJames was the most accommodating, gracious, and knowledgable host. His place is rustic, immaculate, and so cozy (inside and out). I was fortunate to enjoy an excellent dinner as well as the breakfast. I'm only sorry that I could only spend one night. Highly recommended!

AustraliaJames makes you feel welcome from the time the door is opened. The property is located nearby to Rocamadour so makes it an ideal location. The peace and quiet was amazing, the breakfast good with James' walnut spread and cookies and the coffee superb. James' recommendation for a local restaurant was also wonderful. We like to stay at places where we feel at home immediately and La Noyeraie Rocamadour filled the bill exactly.

United KingdomVery warm welcome. The host even encouraged us to go and explore a beautiful nearby beach (stunning spot where you can take a dip in the Dordogne) and eat out in town. Hotel is in an excellent location, the rooms were a good temperature, everything very clean and as it should be. Lots of breakfast options and great coffee.

United States of AmericaMinor thing. Our first night we didn’t realize how much the people below us could hear us when we moved around. I don’t think we were doing anything extreme, but moving our luggage around at 10pm really made the people below us angry. The people below us let us know about it. James (the owner( made us feel better about it as he felt that perhaps the people who were upset had exaggerated the issue… but made us self conscious the rest of the stay and we would walk around as if we had a new born sleeping in the room. It wasn’t a problem the rest of the stay, but it’s something to consider. Minor thing.
The owner is an exceptional host… very attentive and helps make your visit to the area as perfect as it can be. Also a great cook.

FranceWe had a room in the ground floor under another room in the first floor that was occupied and we could hear the noise and feel people walking above us. Our room had a view to the road ("route departementale" to Rocamadour) and situated at 3 to 4 meters from the road. Upon arrival we asked our host for a quite room but he said that this is the room that we booked. But we had absolutely no information whatsoever about the distribution of the rooms in his property. Later on we understood that the people who had the room above ours and us were the only guests that night. We would have appreciated that James makes the effort to propose another room should it be at a higher price. La Noyeraie is located right at a cross of two roads, this makes it impossible to keep the room window open or to enjoy the garden. The car parking is on the other side of the road: we had to cross the road carrying our luggage! Check-in hours between 17h00 and 20h00 and check-out at 10h00 am announced after payment (no refund in case of cancellation). We were also informed by email after having reserved and paid that the reception closes at 20h00. This was not convenient for us. We were informed after reservation and payment that no refund is given if we do not show up. Therefore after having been informed that the reception closes after 20h00 we were afraid of arriving after 20h00 and of being considered as not having showed up! Should we have had been informed of this in advance we wouldn't have reserved at La Noyeraie.
Room very clean, excellent breakfast, nice host.
