Should have mentioned the steep, winding stairs to reach the room. Very difficult to manage getting luggage up them.

It wouldn’t be useful for those with mobility issues. There is a cottage in the court yard that may suite but the main guest house has spiral stone stairs.

Quintessentially French! Just a wonderful experience. Beautifully renovated very comfortable and well appointed rooms. The breakfast was fresh as fresh can be every morning and greeted with a smile from David. Centrally located in Caen close (5min walk) to many Resturant’s 20min walk to the very centre of Caen near or around the castle. Lovely court yard to enjoy the afternoon sun. I think you can tell we were delighted with our stay!

The WiFi connection in the cottage was very poor and virtually non existent in the upper bedrooms. I’d have preferred to have breakfast in the dining room rather than in the basket delivered to the cottage.

Could not get the TV to work but as I was only filling in 1/2 an hour it mattered not and did not detract. Bit of patience required to find a parking spot

I didn’t have much breakfast however it was very fresh and good. The room was up 3 flights of stairs and the only comment I have is that I would like to be advised in future.

The mattress in the twin room was a bit too hard for me but the queen mattress in the other room was fine. The bathroom was just a tiny bit slippery. I definitely need handrails.

The manager or proprietor, “David”, was very communicative and easy to work with, even with a bit of a language barrier. We truly appreciate that. We had to arrive quite late and he gave excellent instructions on how to enter the property and retrieve the key. Our quarters, the “Yellow Room”, were beautiful and very spacious. The stone staircase, while gorgeous, is a bit hard to maneuver if you have a lot of luggage, as we did. If you travel light, you should have no trouble. There were chips and sodas available if we wanted them. The breakfast was very good. Next time in Caen, I hope we can stay for more than one night.

It was absolutely beautiful. The furnishings were perfect (we stayed in the green room), everything was clean and nice. I loved how spacious it was, it was like an apartment. The owner was very efficient in answering any messages I sent, which was very nice.

The stairs inside are very steep, and the ceiling in the bedroom upstairs is low...but again, very quaint and charming, so not really even a negative.

Very quaint cottage attached to a main house. We had perfect privacy. There is a courtyard right outside the cottage where we were able to relax during the evening. The location is fantastic...easy walk to many restaurants and shops.

Loved our room and the space we had. Excellent location and no trouble finding somewhere to park on the street. Restaurants within walking distance. All round a very pleasant stay.
